Features

  • Train Design: Simply fill the train-shaped cast iron steamer with water and place it on your wood stove. As the temperature rises, steam will puff out from the train's chimney. Side handles are included for safe and easy moving or carrying once the unit has cooled down.
  • Durable & Rust-Resistant: Constructed from 13.9 lbs of durable cast iron, the humidifier pot retains the cast iron wood stove kettle advantage of long-lasting heat retention. The enamel-coated interior solves the problem of rusting, making cleaning much easier.
  • Easy to Use: Features a top water inlet with a removable lid. The generous 2.85-quart capacity minimizes the need for frequent refilling. You can add essential oils like lavender, eucalyptus, mint, citrus, or rosemary, or dried flowers for aromatherapy, filling your room with a pleasant fragrance.
  • Practical & Decorative: This wood stove steamer/humidifier is ideal for cabins and homes. It not only helps maintain optimal humidity levels to relieve dryness and protect wood flooring but also serves as a fireplace decor piece. It makes an excellent gift for holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving.
  • Simple Care for Longevity: For best results, season the water pot for wood stove with oil before initial use. Always allow it to cool completely before moving. To prevent moisture buildup during storage, rinse thoroughly, dry completely, and store with the lid open in a cool, dry placeadding a couple of paper towels inside is recommended.

  • It works perfectly
We wanted humidity in the air, because of our wood stove.. It looks good and it does a perfect job of putting the steam out through the stem pipe. My husband loves it.It was a gift to him. If your stove is rolling hot, you need to keep an eye on the water levels.. Other than net it's great

  • Solid
It's solid, the only problem is it's easy to over fill because it's hard to see the separation line of the 2 parts. This could be dangerous. I have a silver sharpie and will add a fill line to fix the issue. UPDATE: I was well below my fill line and it started spewing water all over my stove and hearth. It's a 2 part design, the bottom is like a loaf pan, the "train" sits on top. I'm done with it. I won't chance breaking the glass on my stove because the water hit it. I really wanted to love this. What a waste. ... show more

  • Not Heavy Enamel, Nor A Gloss. Enough To Prevent Rusting.
I live in the Hudson Valley, on 12 Acres of Woods; in a house built in 1732. Since Restoring it, I have heated it, only with Wood. Although I love the Dry Heat a Woodstove produces; my Wood Furniture/Doors/Floors do not. It arrives extremely well packed (see pic). As I write this, it is Snowing and 21F Outside; 70F and Humidity of 22% Inside. After being on the Woodstove for a few hours, and going through half the water, it has raised the Humidity to 26%. Not a huge amount, but noticeable. I appreciate the humor of a Steam Engine, but I would have preferred a Smoking Colonial House design. FYI: I have a DC Fan blowing across the Woodstove. I can hear the water Simmering, but only see steam, if I shut Off the Fan; even then, it is not a lot of steam. I have been using Filtered Water, but still getting Hard Water Deposits in it (see pic). Have not tried, but they claim you can add Scented Oils to the water. The Instruction Caution, not to let it run dry; which might mean taking it off the Woodstove during the Night? Plain Cast Iron has no problem being heated dry; I assume it is to protect the Enamel. UPDATE: I have had it a few weeks, and besides running dry a couple times, and a little rust on the lip, loving it! ... show more
