With tension mechanism, the hood will stay in place once set at the desired height. Easily raise your lights when you are doing your routine work in the room, and just pull them down when you leave. It allows you to adjust the height of the hood as plants grow. Features w/ nickel plated cast iron gears 150 pounds handling capacity 8 feet long Attaching the Ratchet There are two ways of installing the Light Hanger: With the mechanism attached to the ceiling. If you use the Light Hanger for luminaries in a grow tent we recommend that you install the Light Hanger with the free end carabiner to the ceiling frame and the mechanism to the luminary as illustrated. This way, you will not put any stress on your tent frame when hoisting and it enables easier adjustment. For filters, we recommend that you attach the free end with the carabiner around the filter to avoid rotation of the filter when hoisting. Support the filter when hoisting it to avoid stress on your grow tent frame. Height Adjustment Adjust to the desired height by simply pulling the loose rope end. To release, hold the loose rope end and depress the lever recessed in the Light Hanger.

I absolutely love this product. I got it with the worries that it only came with 2 but was happy it came with 4 total. Now, I know it’s for hanging lights or whatever, but it’s great at keeping him/her down where he/she needs to be and can’t move an inch. I’ve had problems with other restraints because of tying the knots, then said knots slip. These are the exact same hangers that came with my LED grow lights. I bought these to help control my lights from rotating on their own. The light manufacturer only included one hanger kit so the cables from the four corners of the light connect to one hook on the hanger which allows them to rotate on their own. I have to keep them in place using string tied to a hook on the wall. Which is a pain when I want to lower or raise the lights. My intent is to add a second hanger on each light so there is one on each end which will prevent them from rotating. These hangers are real easy to raise and lower. The provided cord is plenty strong for my application and I suspect would be fine for any application that does not exceed the weight limit rating. They are very reasonably priced and I would not hesitate to purchase them again or recommend them to anyone who is using them for a similar purpose. ... show more
