I think the carbon filter works in keeping the smell controlled but this thing is kind of loud. The fastener things are kind of hard to put on, and at one point I almost had it so that it blew air out of the grow tent, not in. It shouldn't be so easy to make that sort of miscalculation. Also it gets louder when you lower the speed. I bought the speed controller thinking it'd be quieter on low speed but it gets louder. Other than that I'm glad this option exists at all. I'm just thinking if they balanced the rotor or something it could be way quieter. I actually really hate how loud it is. ... show more

This fan is complete trash. There is no way to attach the included carbon filter other than duct tape. There's really no where to hang a pulley on the fan itself. The hose clamps were squished and stuffed into the black hose. When I pulled them out it tore the hose and they are bent and will not get round again. You better off buying any other product than this one. Absolutely no effort went into designing any of this crap. ... show more
