My girlfriend is pregnant and hates the smell of my plants, one of them is at the end of flower and literally the smell is completely gone. My whole house used to smell like bud very strongly and I never smoke inside, I thought the filter would help a lot but it literally completely stopped the smell. I was amazed at the price of this kit. It came with everything needed to hook up an inline fan exhaust system. Many people usually buy all these pieces separate but I can tell you that they do a really good job at reducing the price for the kit as a whole. The fan has been running strong 24/7. The connection was very easy but yet fit tight on the duct tubing. The filter itself is why I took a start off. The filter I felt doesn't filter smell for very long. However, this could be also do to the environment that you are growing in. I know if it is too humid than it can cause the filter to get blocked. ... show more

I was able to set up everything in 15 minutes. Fan runs quieter than I expected. I chose to mount my fan inside with the filter outside my 2.3’x2.3’ grow tent. Had enough ducting to be able to set the filter on the floor. Added an iPower fan speed controller to finish everything off. Only have been running it for a month so can’t say about its longevity. So far so good but that could change anytime. At half the price, sometimes less, of other 4” kits the was a total win for me….for now. I worry about how long the fan will last as there had to be some kind of catch at getting the kit under $70. None found so far. ... show more

The filter does it's job but the case on the outside of the filter fits waaaay too snugly. It's a bother taking it off/putting it on. The fan is my main gripe. It doesn't stay together very well and when taking it out of the package, the whole thing split in two, fell to the ground, and broke a blade off. I put it back together, just to have it fall apart on me multiple times after while trying to install it. Eventually, I just taped the whole thing shut so it wouldn't open again. It's a little loud for it's size, but that could honestly be bacause a flan blade broke off and it's a little off balance when running, I don't know. It gets the job done, and is a decent price, but I'll likely try a different one next time. ... show more

This fan is powerful and moves air, but does not filter smells. After months of running this 24/7 I finally had enough and ordered a VIVOSUN. It is almost twice the price, but is far superior and actually works. NO SMELL
