Update-Almost subtracted one star. After a few weeks of use, the measuring marks on the little cup have almost totally worn off. i remarked with a sharpie, but even those are wearing off. I have just remarked with my sharpie, but this time I have added clear packaging tape to see if that helps protect the marks. I have also checked the measurements by pouring into my measuring spoons so I will know what to use if I totally lose the marks on the little cup. Hard boiled = 5T + 1t. Poached = 4T. Soft boiled = 2T + 2t. Don't use it to cook scrambled eggs so I didn't measure that. Still love the thing! Note: because I am using more eggs, they are fresher when hard boiled than the first batch I fixed, and the fresher eggs are much easier to peel. --------- Original review Easy to use. Easy to clean. Makes perfect poached eggs. I no longer overcook my hard boiled eggs. I use grade "large" eggs. For hard boiled, I use just a bit more water (about an extra 1/8 inch). They are not as easy to peel as some people say, but they aren't hard to peel either. Got this because I was buying pre-cooked & peeled hard boiled eggs. They, like everything else, have gotten more expensive. With this little gadget I can cook them whenever I want, it's fast and easy, and I don't have to go to the store. I just keep a good supply of raw eggs on hand and we get our protein for much less cost. We have definitely been eating more eggs. I love poached eggs, but they were always too much trouble to fix. This makes poached eggs a snap-I've been having them every morning now! There is an omelet attachment, but it's pretty tiny. I usually use 4-6 eggs for an omelet, plus meat, veggies & cheese. I think it would only be good for 2 or maybe three scrambled eggs, or, like I said, a tiny omelet. Don't know how long this will last, but I WILL be getting a replacement when it dies! Love this egg cooker! Makes perfect hard boiled eggs. This little egg cooker is easy to use and does not take up a lot of space. I would suggest covering the measurements on the cup with a piece of clear packing tape so the numbers/lettering do not disappear from washing and wear. Great buy!

I really didn't know what to expect with this unit but I liked the convenience of set and forget on the eggs. I've boiled a couple of pans dry in the past and thought this could do better. Overall, this unit works great. Eggs are cooked and the texture is right. There are a couple of things that I didn't really consider. One is that because the amount of water you add determines the time, you really have to understand the size of your eggs. It takes a little work to get this right. My first batch of eggs were slightly overdone. This occurred because my counter is not exactly level so water pooled on one side, my eggs were large but slightly smaller so needed less time, and I left them in the unit after it turned off. All of this means I have to watch these things and remove the eggs as soon as it beeps. So it's not exactly set it and forget it, but it cuts down on time and water and I'm really happy with this unit. I'd buy another. ... show more

Haven't used this as much lately due to the high cost of eggs, but it works really great. Takes the guess-work out of making various types of eggs. I mainly do hard-boiled. The eggs come out perfect every time. And removing the shell is very easy cooking them this way.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the Elite Gourmet EGC007CHW for a couple of weeks now and honestly, it’s been a game changer in my kitchen. It’s super convenient—just place the eggs, add water with the included measuring cup, and in minutes I have perfectly cooked eggs (hard, soft, or medium). What I love the most is the auto shut-off with a buzzer. I don’t have to keep an eye on it or worry about overcooking. I’ve also tried making scrambled eggs and even omelets—it works surprisingly well for such a compact device! It’s easy to clean and doesn’t take up much counter space. I love this egg cooker! So much better than boiling them on the stove! Too much time wasted…on the stove! It’s quick for hard boiling and the shell peels off easily! I do not pierce the egg before. I’ve had no issues other than a small crack on one egg. The beeper is loud enough if you’re not in the room and the auto shut-off is a great asset! They come perfect every time and it’s so small, cute, and compact! I got the blue, it was on sale (got it for $14.92 total price!) the color doesn’t matter, I keep it packed up in the original box for storage. It says to clean the heating plate with white vinegar on a paper towel! It works well and keeps the plate looking like new! No mess and easy cleanup! There’s instructions for care and usage, with a few recipes, if you want them! All in all, you can’t go wrong…another asset in your kitchen arsenal! 🥚🍳 ... show more
