I have a daughter with four active grandkids. I bought this not so much to be used outdoors as a swing but as a fun "reading nook" for each child to be able to escape with their favorite book. But we have this so the base rests on the floor so no extra supports needed. The dino design makes this appealing for the boys. Yes, the inflatable base may not last (especially with one of those kiddos) but then we'll just substitute a pillow.

I wouldn't recommend this outdoors. It would tarnish really quickly. For use indoors, you need a structural beam. The inside of the base of the unicorn is inflatable. It's good quality, but it'll pop eventually. So this unicorn isn't meant to last forever and may need a patch kit.

Our family just had a house party and I really wish I’d thought to replace the backyard swing sooner. We love whimsical playthings, so although there aren’t any Dino lovers in the fam, there was an appreciation for the potential of this iPlay, iLearn Dinosaur Pod Swing Seat. Youngsters of all ages were drawn to it, unfortunately, the child it was primarily ordered for, age 8 but the size of a 10/11 year old, did not fit comfortably. 😢 Had to deflate it for interior room, raise it for swing space, use a step stool to get in and required help getting out, which you never want for an outdoor toy they should be playing with independently. Ultimately it was just too awkward and a very big disappointment. Furthermore, the child is nowhere near 175lbs, so the weight limit is way off! Hope they go back for a redesign on this one though, because a roomier pod with a higher weight limit would really open up the market for this in a surprising way! The Dino-shaped design is fantastic and makes this very enticing for kids, so it’s a highly giftable and unique product for the right sized recipients. UPDATE (One Week Later😆): So this pod was such a disappointment that we immediately ordered TWO other swings, as the point is to get her out of the house!! We got a rope swing and a saucer but the 8 year old and her pals, aged 10 and 11, insisted we rehang the DINO! They get stuck in it EVERYTIME, but still get in and then pull one another out! You cannot play in this alone like you should be able to, but I had to add a star because they have still found a way to enjoy it. The aesthetics are awesome, I’d love to get in and read a book, but the functionality and weight limit need to be improved. Ended up with an epic backyard though (See Pics), all due to the issues with the Dino, so I’m happy to raise the rating.
