Very easy to assemble, just screw the legs onto the chair and ottoman. Seems very sturdy, but probably don't jump on it or flop down hard on it. This chair is good quality, it has a velvety feel to it, but not the gross kind that bothers the tism (if ya know what I mean). I did expect it to be a little bit bigger, for reference I am 5'9" and I can fit in the chair, it just seems as if maybe it was made for shorter people or maybe for teens/older kids. I'm still very satisfied with the chair, I personally like sitting lower to the ground, but if you are taller and don't like that, maybe look for a different chair. The ottoman is also very sturdy, you can use it as a seat as well and it holds good. ... show more

I love the design, nice fabric, and good padding. However, the chair is very low to the ground. I purchased after-market 10-inch legs to replace the standard 6-inch legs, and it's perfect for me (5'9" with long legs). The seat is a bit narrow, fine for me but a tight, uncomfortable fit for my wide-hipped daughter. The back is low, so don't expect to sit back and relax, but good for social seating. ... show more
