I purchased this here because this same chair was on another site for about $40 more. That one was free shipping, but required assembly. This one on Amazon did have shipping cost, but was less money and came fully assembled. All that's required is pop the back in place. Shipping box was sturdy (and heavy!), came very well packaged on the inside with added foam and stiff cardboard to protect the chair. It appears to be very well made, no issues yet, but I've only had it a month. It's firm, and I've sat in it for up to an hour at a time for reading. The color is between a dark chambray and dark navy blue with cream-colored stripes between. It swivels (this is not a rocker), and goes deep enough in the seating area for a small decorative pillow. These chairs came fast! So easy to bring in and set up. They are solid, comfortable and beautiful! I love the fabric! My only complaint is that I wish the back was higher. I am tall and I would love a high back chair. I might buy another one for the lake! They are a good deal!

These chairs (I purchased two) are perfect. The mismatched seams that others commented on are on the underside of the chair and can’t be seen. The fabric is Devine. I sew and make my own drapes, pillows, and recover items and this fabric is of great quality. My wife and I were a little reluctant to buy this chair because there were no reviews at the time of purchase. We actually purchased two of these chairs. For the price, these chairs border on the amazing. However, there are enough negatives that I could not award this chair five stars. On the bright side, the chairs come in big boxes nearly fully assembled. You only have to install the upper section of the chairback, which is a no brainer (no tools, no sweat). I really liked the blue and white stripe pattern in the Amazon picture, and it looks every bit as good in person. The fabric is sturdy to the point that some might say it's slightly abrasive, but I personally find it an acceptable tradeoff for durability. Like a cheap suit, the stripes don't line up very well from one part of the chair to another, but I don't think it's a big deal. Otherwise the workmanship appears good. The chair back is straight up and down (plumb), which is esthetically suboptimal, but again, not a big deal (and you won't notice it at all if the chair is placed against a wall). The big test - sitting in the chair - is a somewhat less than sublime experience. The chairs feel solid and well built, and they swivel fairly smoothly, but the cushion is definitely on the firm side. Perhaps the cushions will soften with time. Again, given the price of the chairs, I am not unhappy with the comfort level. Your guests will most likely be perfectly happy to sit in these chairs but I don't think anyone is going to rave about the comfort. If you are price-conscious, this is a very good chair. If money is no object, you may be better off at Haverty's. ... show more
