One of the nicest things about being a grownup is you get to decide what that means. If you're a fan of that one XKCD (if you know, you know), then you already understand what I'm talking about. So. Spy game for kids. I'm not sure that invisible ink is all that useful to spies—I mean, yes, it's cool, and what kid hasn't thought how neat it is to write messages that only show up under certain circumstances?—but real spies are more about cryptography than invisible ink. Of course, real spies are more about tracking shipments of parts through shell companies and peering at satellite photos than running around with a gun like James Bond, but I digress. Anyway, I'm not a kid, but I like invisible ink. It's fun to write salacious messages of an adult nature in a way that can't be seen by those outside your specific group, and totally apropos of nothing, these pens work really well on skin. Just sayin'. Each pen includes a blacklight LED in the cap, which is very cool, though the batteries are sealed and cannot be replaced, which is less cool. When they quit working I'll likely cut them open and salvage the LEDs to use in some other project, because I'm like that, and letting perfectly good UV LEDs end up in a landfill pains my maker soul...but again I digress. To reasonably clever and imaginative adults, these are fantastic fun. 10/10, highly recommend.

These are FANTASTIC! Great for parties and get-togethers--for little kids and big kids and adults! Perfect for party favors, games, treasure hunts, spy pretend play, and more! Markers work well, lights work well, tiny pads of paper are cute. Highly, highly recommend these!

Got these for kids, but I’ll certainly be keeping some for myself. The notebooks are cheap and flimsy, but I don’t mind. If you open it wide enough to write and then use the light, the paper comes out from the binding. Markers seem decent, and light it quite bright. I plan on leaving secret little notes around the house for my husband. He thought these were super cool too. Yay!

Make sure you check before you give out so you don’t have someone disappointed! In 2 of my 14 pens the light would not turn on. Still fun for a party favor in a spy themed birthday party. The pens all work so keeping the two to use as the pen dries out. The notebooks are cute but very cheap. Overall it’s a fun favor for a kids party, just keep in mind quality and don’t expect them to be super nice.

I got these along with an investigator costume for my kids. We are going to do some detective work around the house and these were perfect for that added fun. These are more like fine tip markers though and not pens like the title says. But they still write clearly and you can see with the flashlight.

This was a fun set for kids or even adults. The design of the notepads are very cute but note they are quite small. The pens have worked really well so far for writing and light usage has maintained a fairly strong output even with heavier usage. The pens work on regular paper as well. I’m sure if you left the cap off too long it would dry out the pen so just something to keep in mind when using especially with children. Price is good for what you get. Definitely recommend.

These invisible ink pens are amazing. You simply write messages that can only be revealed by using the light. My kids love using them and leaving us notes all over. I bought this set as a prize reward for my students. It was a hot ticket item in our classroom's store and all the kids wanted one. Each pen comes with its own notebook for message writing. At less than a $1 each at the current price of $10 for 14 sets (pen and notebook), I consider this a great value.

The media could not be loaded. 2 out of the 16 didn't work properly. See video & photos for reference. These are for birthday goodie bags. 12 & under. Fun idea for kids. Multiple color pens with the same color light. Value is good for the quality. Some of the switches pop off easily. Test them before you give them away.
