Pay $20 on prime day for these echo pops ( I bought one for my bedroom and office) This is for home automation and controlling anything that has WiFi. Lights, TV, Power Adapters etc, I feel like I’ve been living in the Stone Age, never going back to touching light switches again. I attached photos of some of the things I suddenly have automated now that I have Alexa in this pop. You can say things like “Alexa” “make the lights red” “turn the lights down 50%” “call my phone” “what’s the wind like today” “ add this to my cart and check out” and lots of Amazon related notifications if you’d like. It’s super handy. Alexa is more responsive and easier to use than Siri on my latest iPhone. I even use it to call myself when I lose my phone in my home. Now you should now as of the current date of this review the AI isn’t comparable to Siri yet but I’m sure that will change in the coming months. This echo pop is so sensitive that it can pick up whispers at night so I don’t disturb anybody and I can turn off and on the lights. This is a good thing! you should be buying this for Alexa and not because it’s a speaker. I do use it to play low music really quickly. But This is meant for home automation first and if you’re looking for a good speaker, buy a better speaker that’s sound focused. I read reviews that the microphone on this is better than the larger more expensive echo Dot. I don’t have an echo dot so please read those reviews yourself before making a decision. Now you’re probably wondering what lights to get and I recommend the Govee brand, I just discovered them. And they work great and are a leading brand. Make sure any smart bulbs or plugs you get have WiFi and Alexa approved, cheaper Bluetooth lights and cameras won’t connect to Alexa and you’ll need to buy a smart power strip or plug that does. We tried to get one for my grandma who has dementia to make it easier to control lights but they don’t understand the tech and it likely won’t work they’ll think it’s spying. This Echo Pop may be small, but it’s out here running the show like it owns the Wi-Fi. First of all, the setup was so easy I wasn’t sure I had done it right. I plugged it in, blinked, and suddenly Alexa was asking me how my day was going. Ma’am, let me catch up. It fits anywhere—nightstand, kitchen counter, bookshelf, plant shelf, bathroom (don’t judge)—and it looks cute doing it. I got the Glacier White one and it’s giving "minimalist chic meets futuristic marshmallow." Sound quality? Shockingly good for something this size. I asked it to play Lizzo while I did dishes and suddenly I was in concert, front row, suds and all. And the Alexa responsiveness? On point. I whisper “what’s the weather?” from across the room with a mouthful of cereal and Alexa’s like, “Gotchu. Light rain. Bring a jacket.” She’s so supportive. Here’s the power move: I got one for every room and set up an intercom system. Now I can drop in on the kitchen from my bedroom like a spy or yell “Dinner’s ready!” without actually yelling. It’s giving James Bond meets PTA mom. Affordable, adorable, and surprisingly powerful—this little speaker punches way above its weight class. 10/10 recommend. Would buy again… and did. Four times.

Absolutely love this! It's my first smart speaker Alexa product! I love its size and functionality. I can't compare it to any previous models or gems but it comes with a very long cord which makes it quite easy to put in areas of high or that may not be quite near an outlet. Compact size with a loud speaker obviously with volume customizing settings. And just Blends in seamlessly and I love that that I was able to have it set up in advance so that when I opened the box it was just connected and everything

The Pop is a good product, but I'm disappointed that the power cord is not colored to match the Echo Pop. This isn't a fluke, because this is the 2nd Echo Pop I've bought, and neither came with a color-coded power cord. BTW, and this is a BIG DEAL! If you have an EERO wifi setup, the Echo POP has EERO built into it, so you can use each of these devices as a Wi-Fi extender. The Echo Pop hits $24.99 really often, and that's a cheap WIFI Extender that works great!
