I really love the feel of this cover and it looks very professional. At first I questioned the higher price, but once I had it in hand I understood why. The leather feels premium and well made. The magnets are strong, so the Kindle Scribe stays securely in place and the stylus actually stays attached. Before this, my pen was constantly falling off and now I don’t have to worry about it. I also like that it automatically wakes the tablet when I open the cover. Between the quality leather and the secure magnetic hold, it’s worth the price in my opinion.

Picked this up for my Scribe Colorsoft. The leather feels soft, and it honestly gives off more of a luxury vibe than a typical cover. It feels closer to something you’d expect from a leather brand than a regular Amazon cover, which was a pleasant surprise. I went with the brown color and really like - looks clean and classy without being boring. The magnetic attach to the device is surprisingly strong. I was a little worried it might feel loose, but the Scribe snaps right in and doesn’t shift around at all!! I also like the pen strap more than I thought I would. It keeps the pen from rolling around in my bag, and I really like how it sits neatly on the back when you’re writing so it’s not intrusive at all. It's super convenient! Overall, it feels like it actually protects the device in addition to just looking good. It does add a bit of weight, but for me that’s a fair trade-off for the extra protection. Not totally sure how the leather will hold up long term, but brand new it feels and looks really good. Yeah, it’s kinda pricey, but you can tell where the money went. If you use your Scribe a lot and want a cover that feels “official” and well built, this one’s def worth it. No regrets so far.

The media could not be loaded. I have been a Kindle user from the first generation unit and, other than that device, have always bought the factory cases from Amazon. They just fit and function better than any aftermarket I have found. I wasn’t super impressed by the premium leather in the premium case for the first generation Scribe, so I wasn’t sure what to expect here. The good news is that this feels much more premium than the first gen case and really is nice. The leather has a nice grain and a supple softness that is awesome. Further, it matches the very cool fig color perfectly. There is a handy magnetic strap that keeps the pen and unit enclosed and protected. The liner is soft and will keep your Scribe scratch free. It, of course automatically fires up when you open the cover. All good, really good actually. So, why only 4 stars? Well, it’s the price tag. $140 for a case is ALL of the money in my opinion. It really threw me because now you are paying almost $900 at list if you buy a 64gb Scribe and this case. That is really premium money. I still love the case but I don’t love the overall value proposition it offers. Going to recommend but I would think about exploring aftermarket options before you pull the trigger here.

This is very thin, feels high quality and increases the scribes realestate in your bag minimally. It really doesn't increase the Scribes profile much. The magnetic attachment of scribe to case has been solid for me and I really lime it. Open the cover and the scribe turns on with no issues. If you are going to use your scribe for reading in addition to writing; the pen will get in the way and you will knock it off constantly if you don't remove it and set it aside before hand. That unfortunately means having to keep track if it. The only issue I really have with this case is that this case does not secure the pen when in the open position by any means other that the Scribe itself. And lets be honest, this case is pricey, for not having a more secure pen feature. I bought it as it was pretty much the only option at the time of the Scribe colorsoft release, but now a couple months in, I'm shopping for another.

Even with the price point, the quality keeps it minimalist, clean, light, and thin. Even though Moko has a case option for $50, they didn’t have the brown option and the flap was a bother. I appreciate the design and quality that went into this case down to the notch in the back that keeps the flap hidden and tucked neatly behind the fold and doesn’t add any lift to the back. I did exchange my original case because it came with black spot blemishes and if the case was around $75, I probably would’ve overlooked it but because of $140 price tag I want it as perfect as possible.

Our business purchased the new Scribe for employees, but I felt compelled to comment on this cover. It is inexplicably expensive for a flimsy price of leather. While it fits nicely and does its job, I would advise people to wait for a $15 TPU leather aftermarket cover which would feel similar and save animals. Amazon knows everyone purchasing the Scribe (amazing btw) will want a cover, so this feels like a huge money-grab. Good business, but very poor optics to those in the Amazon ecosystem.

After all the negative reviews I read as I was waiting for the delivery, I was ready to return the package unopened. But I decided to at least give it a try and was amazed at the quality. Yes, there was a chemically smell coming from the soft interior lining but it took only an overnight of airing out to go away. Yes, the Kindle logo is a bit big but the same size as on the splash screen. With the graphite color I got, the logo does not stand out. The leather outer layer is not soft to the touch leather, but stiff yet that stiffness makes for good protection for the device. Yes, the price probably should be lower, but the quality does make up for it. Lastly, this cover feels like the perfect complement to the Kindle. Like they were made for each other. So if the price doesn’t scare you away, you will be happy with this purchase.
