For the price, it is nearly perfect. Don't think it is fire rated but it will keep my grandchildren safe and has a key back-up. That said, you have to use an Allen wrench to access the keyhole so keep the batteries fresh in the keypad and change them at least annually, I'm guessing. Still blown away at arrival well insulated from dings and dents of transport and completely assembled (except batteries for keypad)! ... show more

The safe is very nice.But kind of cheap made handle is loose The key copad that post unlocked with your code Does not unlock safe only with keys. It sets and it turns green, but it will not unlock.

Overall it's very nice quality. One complaint is if you have optics on your rifles or for me my airsoft rifles they are too big to fit with any kind of optics . I found turning my airsoft replicas sideways I can fit 3 comfortably. But most importantly the locks and password features are cool and easy to operate. All hardware to mount to wall are included. Never had a gun safe or much experience with them. Bought this based on reviews and price. Came sooner than expected. Was easy to set up. As for storage, perfect for my needs. Some reviews talked about how flimsy the top shelf is. No issues, it is holding 300 rounds of ammo and one pistol. Some talked about the pockets on the door to small. I have a 7" revolver and service semi-auto pistol stored there with no problem. I have 3 rifles with room for at least one more stored inside. Setting the code was a breeze. It can only hold 2 guns at the same time, and it's also a safe that doesn't lock, you read that right. It's a safe that doesn't lock, and when you open the door, sure enough, the wired bolt that blocks the door mechanism doesn't budge. It's a shame, it looks a bit clumsy, but it looks like it gets the job done. Amazon's solution? Put the thing back in the box, load it in the car, and take it to the nearest UPS store before it can be refunded and not replaced. Lesson learned! DON'T BUY IT! ... show more

This safe is a good buy for the price, looks nice and does what's it's supposed to. The only thing I would recommend is taping the opening instructions to the outside instead of leaving them inside the safe and needing to figure out how to open the locked door.
