  • Very smooth processing of frames
Had an i7 before, legit didn’t want to believe the hype of a stronger processor. Then I bought this thing, it’s amazing(:

  • Christmas Present
Bought this CPU for grandson as he loves gaming. This was the CPU he wanted to upgrade his computer. It works better than the old CPU and his games run faster. Would recommend this product

  • Very Good and appropriate CPU for the year 2020
This CPU has 16 threads, 8 cores and the mobo i'm using is good for 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB storage. The wireless internet is usually good too. But that's just things that it works with. I'm pleased that the z390 mobo and i9 9900k cpu generally work smoothly and it's liquid cooled with an AIO. Microsoft has made an OS, that when using default settings is generally stable. I usually only use this computer for general use and music, but sometimes software development. It helps to have something that generally works, so I'm satisfied. I spent a year and a half planning for a desktop environment and it works fine. I'm planning a Quadro RTX 5000 for my graphics software development. But I'm in no rush since I live in a swamp surrounded by all kinds. I know it's said when you have brought it home, it's already obsolete, but these can work for many years. ... show more

  • Disappointed.
This CPU was purchased brand new. It did not come in the advertised box.. unfortunate but survivable. Taken out of box to install into my computer, and low and behold it’s got thermal paste on it... I purchased it full price and it came used. They made it right partially by refunding me some of the money but it wasn’t even half of what it cost me to buy it. ... show more

  • Runs like a champ, 2 years and 0 issues
This CPU is a powerhouse, and still holds up well in 2020. It overclocks just fine, but I've never found a reason to keep those overclocks as stock settings chew through everything I can throw at it. I slapped a Noctua dual tower cooler on it and it stays relatively cool even under load. Just make sure you have a quality cooler and quality thermal paste. This beast can and will get hot if not treated right. If you wanna know specific numbers go watch a youtube video or read a toms hardware guide. As far as gaming, it made a massive performance difference when playing CPU intensive games like Arma 3, Escape from Tarkov, DayZ, and a few others. It crunches through video editing in programs that don't allow GPU acceleration. Also the packaging is super dope ... show more

  • One of the best gaming processors
The i9 9900k is a very good processor, especially for gaming. When it released, it was the best gaming CPU money could buy. With its 8 cores and 16 threads (alongside top instructions per clock (IPC) and high frequency) it could also be used for a lot of workstation tasks. It also uses a monolithic die (compared to AMD’s chiplet design) which gives it some of the best-in-class memory latency. However, since then Intel has launched new processors that beat it, and AMD has launched the Ryzen 5000 series (finally catching up to Intel in most games). Therefore, don’t buy the i9 9900k as a new processor in 2021, but it was great for its time. The only complains I have is that it draws a lot of power, runs fairly hot due to a poor thermal interface, and lacks PCIe 4.0. The first two aren’t much of an issue if you are using custom liquid cooling like I am. However, if you try to run the processor on an AIO or air cooler, it will likely get very hot. ... show more
