I didn’t know a 10 year old i5 processor could be replaced by a 10 year old i7. I learned you have to match the motherboard chipset and the processor version. My version processor is 4. I have used this processor for many years. I highly recommend it. Uses ddr3 memory though. Not a bad thing.

This was an amazing upgrade for me as I upgraded from an i5. It was super easy to install and the fan that comes with it already has thermal paste included. I would highly suggest this if you’re due for a CPU upgrade.

This is supposedly a used processor. It runs great all four cores stay cool I used a zalman cooler. averages around 28 or 29 degrees per core... this was for a home build mostly still wanting to use DDR3 RAM that I had. This Devil's Canyon CPU does not disappoint
