Used this to insulate a pet house for the winter. I stapled it in place. Keeps the cold drafts out. This has a inner layer of foam and not the bubble wrap which was a big buying plus for me! Cats have nails! Enough said. Recommend this buy!

I used this to insulate my rv windows. Very easy to cut with regular scissors. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the usable width is not 48 inches, there is a wasted inch on both sides.

Bought this to use on certain windows in my house that get really hot. It's made a HUGE difference in the temperature of the inside of the house. It's easy to install, I just used velcro strips. Also was able to do more windows than I expected with the size of the roll.

I ordered this insulation to insulate my garage door that gets constant sun in the summer. Measuring and cutting the pieces was time consuming, but not difficult. My garage seems to be about 10 degrees cooler during the day, but also retains heat through the night. Hopefully it will do so in the winter as well. I've been all over the internet and on Amazon looking for insulation for my DIY Solar panel wires. The two wires leading from the panels to the controller extend approximately 50' on the ground in the hot sun of Arizona. I buried some of them, but couldn't bury the wires that emerged from the ground converter, which sits in a homemade box with the batteries and transformer. I needed something I could wrap the wires in to prevent them for deteriorating. Tried auto parts stores, hardware stores and Home Depot. Finally found this product. Cut it to size and wrapped the wires with the foil, securing it with ties and duct tape. Easy to cut and it did the trick. Motivated, I decided to use the rest of the material for the sun baked housing that has deteriorated over the past 5 years due to the heat, cold and monsoons. Had JUST ENOUGH to finish the doors, side panel and top. just used a stapler to secure it, because it is so pliable. I noticed my transformers fan wasn't activating as much, which meant the reflective foil was keeping the interior part of the housing cooler. Probably will keep it warmer in the winter as well. This is a good product and I would recommend it to anyone that is considering projects outside that need shielding from the elements. Purchased this because I wanted insulation with real aluminum sides. Others claim to use aluminum but they usually use plastic which is reflective, but not the real thing. Easy to cut and work with. Super lightweight and not bulky. adheres well with spray adhesive. Great moisture and heat barrier. I used this to insulate my classic car, body panels, floor, roof. Cuts with scissors or utility knife. Does not crush, retains it's shape. Will definitely use again.

We purchased this product for additional layer of insulation in a north facing room. Was just the correct thickness. Easily added over existing insulation. Easy to install & manipulate into place. We used Staples to hold it in place. After applying to all walls, we noticed considerable difference in room temperature with just the insulation installed. Room was noticeably warm, less drafty.
