This thing really works well. Full stainless interior, and LOVE the handles. Was always a PITA to get the bowl out if you wanted to cool/move the contents quickly. Lots of features on this, many different cook cycles. Wife loves cheesecake but has yet to try this option...seriously, it has a cheesecake option...lol! Before you know it, they're going to have this thing do fondue's and rotisseries..and maybe pressure wash your car (jk, lol). The delay setting is one of the best features next to variable levels of pressure cooking. I throw in my meat, potato, veggies whatever and some broth/spices, etc. Set it for whatever time to start and I come home from work to a freaking awesome meal that is SOOO easy...so many options to cook whatever you want, however you want once you refine everything. I don't know what I'd do without one of these. Slow cook, fast cook, high temp, low temp, start now or later, keep warm, etc..etc. If you use one of these as much as I do, get this pro model with the handles, it's worth it. ... show more

When I think of a pressure cooker I imagine them being like the ones my grandmother used. The older pressure cookers could at times be very dangerous BUT this pressure cooker is beyond wonderful! I’ve cooked several meals in it and I love the ease of cooking with it.. I don’t have to constantly monitor it and the pressure release valve is a great thing to have. Example: I took a roast out of the freezer and let it sit out a while but when I got ready to cook it the thing was still frozen solid. So I googled can I cook a frozen roast in my pressure cooker. It said I could so I put it in pot and closed it shut. It took exactly 40 mins to cook it! Once it was done the roast was so very very tender!! I recommend this product to every full time working mom of kids! ... show more

This is the 3rd instant pot that I've bought here, but I think although longer term it doesn't seem to last more than a few years, the quality of the item has been improved and new features are very much appreciated. Like the handles are well done, and the other improvements such as cover for steam vent to disperse the steam when cooking is done and cooking speed from when the start button is pressed to the actual cooking start seems to be faster. The new lid on the pot has a little area where something can be kept warm, (I'm guessing) I haven't checked out the function of this feature yet, but I will. I use this machine for everything. It makes the quickest most tender bbq pulled chicken. The fastest hard boiled eggs. The most thick collagen filled bone broth with amazing flavor! Each button is easy to understand, this product so so user friendly. Soon I'll be attempting to make my own yogurt in it. I originally was going to save up and get an All American Pressure Cooker but $400 is a little too much to splurge on a pressure cooker. This product is a great start for dipping your feet in homesteading/canning. If you follow all the instructions it's the safest machine... this coming from the most accident prone human. Above all else, this cooker is built to last and the highest quality! I have used this for years and it works beautifully! ... show more

This is my second electric pressure cooker but my first instant. It is lightyears ahead of my last one. It comes to pressure quickly, love the cap over the vent much safer, lid easy on and easy off. I highly recommend this to everyone in the market for a pressure cooker.

Worth it for homemade dog food alone. I am yielding 7 quarts of food for the pups and 2 quarts of bone broth for us out of one 12lb pack of chicken thighs every week. Soups, beans, roasts galore. (My unit shipped without the vent piece in the lid that allows a proper seal, which made the first week of testing impossibly frustrating. They shipped me a fix, albeit slowly, and all is well.) ... show more

Couple of things. One, the instruction manual is completely inadequate. It explains less than 40% of what the pot can do. The first time I used it, I had to google three things. There were parts on the unit that were labeled, but had no explanation as to what they were for. Also, the 8-quart inner lid for the other 8-quart units don't work for this one. It threw out an error message that wasn't in the manual. Another thing I had to look up. When you're dialing to set the time, it takes absolutely forever to get to the hours that you need. If I have to set it for five hours, I am dialing forever because it won't let you spin the dial quickly. Yes, I understand it's a precision instrument, but I hate the fact that I have to stand there and turn the dial so slowly if I want to set it for more than two hours. they say it's because they don't want you to bypass the correct time if you're spinning quickly, but we do know how dials work. Turning it slowly you'll get minute by minute, turning it quickly. You can get hour by hour. Is that simple. And I hate having to stand there while the beeps are screaming at me while I turn the dial. ... show more

I absolutely would recommend this Instantpot. I never liked my older model because of the lack of "information" while using it. This shows the heating, cooking, nd keep warm cycle.It also automatically shuts the release button. It is just easier to use from the electronic display to the handles on the cooking pot. I would highly recommend this pot to anyone interested in an Instantpot. Hard boiled eggs are soooo easy to peel too;-) ... show more
