Top Amazon Reviews

  • This is a fine TV for everyday use
I bought two of these last year, a 50” model for the living room and a 43” model for the bedroom. The picture is sharp and the colors run deep. This TV has just about every input and output and connects to the Internet extremely well. I prefer more of a surround sound experience than TV sets offer, but the built-in speakers in the Insignia TVs are adequate for most consumers. The HDMI ARC input-output enslaves these TVs to my surround sound systems, so setup was a breeze. Before buying on Amazon, I always read the bad reviews first to learn what could go haywire. For a minimum of hassle, I then buy products like the Insignia TVs from Amazon with the extended warranty with full confidence that I can get repairs or replacements with the greatest of ease. Yes, even if I get lemon for whatever the reason. So far, I have gotten 18 months of viewing bliss with the pair. And should the worst-case scenario happen to me, I am already embarrassed by the low price that I paid in the first place. If I spend around $200-$300 for a consumer electronics product that lasts two years or more, I’m a happy camper - I think I’ve gotten my money’s worth and am willing to send it to recycling heaven and then buy something new. If you are expecting $3,000 quality and performance for $300, then I’m sorry, but you may need to go back to school. ... show more

  • A Smart TV running Fire TV
I have a TV with Fire Stick. I have a TV with Fire TV. I have a TV with Fire TV Cube. The TV with the Fire TV Cube is a Smart TV but the Smart TV features for someone who only uses streaming services over WiFi (No Antenna and No Cable) was not as good as Fire TV. I like Fire TV because I have all my streaming services, and more available, and a format that makes it easy to operate on any of my TVs. The Insignia 65" FireTV is the best. The single remote, Alexa, "my watchlist" works better than any of the previous opetions. The internal operating system is much improved. This TV is in a remote resort location and operates on a 4g signal putting out between 1 mbps and 5 mbps and runs very smooth. I need only one of the 3 HDMI inputs to connect a DVD player. My sound bar connects with one skinny optical wire. Nothing else to do and it was on. Ok Boomer, I connected like a pro! The 4k picture is great. Bought this from Best Buy over Amazon on Prime Day and saved $100. ... show more

  • Great TV for the price! eARC issues were my own!
I ordered this TV and picked it up during the Prime Day event. It is the best bang for your buck when it comes to TVs. I also ordered a soundbar which gave me huge issues. At first it didn't work - and then it the soundbar would cut out after a few minutes of having the TV on. Turns out I hadn't bought an HDMI cable in the last five years or so - I was cycling through old, outdated cables and that was my issue. I bought a modern HDMI cable (they aren't all the same) and it works like a dream. I smile when I turn the TV on now because the picture is so clear and I feel like I am actually watching a modern TV! ... show more

  • Incredible TV for the price!!
Size: 55-inch
This is the best TV ever for $240. 55" screen, great picture and sound. The soundbar I was using barely kept up with the tv's internal speakers. Did not really need it anymore. Excellent 4k quality display. Much better than my previous 4k LG TV. Very easy to use remote. I can quickly navigate to anywhere I want to go. The setup was very fast. Was able to sync in to all my Amazon prime streaming apps and add a couple more from the Amazon app store that I did not have access to before. Plus You tube and Disney Plus were quickly setup and put on the main home screen. All my streaming apps were moved and located on the home screen. The main settings were easy to navigate and use. You can setup with wi-fi quickly and use HDMI arc cable, optical cable, Aux cable, USB, or Bluetooth to connect to other devices like sound bars almost instantly. There are two extra Hdmi connections for PC use or items like X box. I am not sure what more you need in a TV. I have not yet had any of the problems some people mentioned in their complaints in reviews. There is not much glare if any. No extra bright or missing pixels. No lines across the screen. Picture is excellent in low light. I have found nothing to complain about. Hope it stays that way. For $240, I was not expecting this. ... show more

  • Impressive FireTV! - couple of tiny bugs
This is an amazing TV, if you take the time to learn all of its features and set it up correctly. It recently received a software update to the new Home interface, and there seems to be small updates sent practically each week, so I commend the Amazon/Insignia team effort to keep improving it... With the new interface, Fire Apps aren't limited to interlace mode anymore (thank goodness!) - they are progressive mode now! When I turn on the TV, it is smart, like it displays rows of shows or movies I might want to watch or continue watching where I left of (some of Amazon's suggestions make sense, but others do not - you really have to train the TV by watching things). I really like how each of the inputs have their own individual settings. YouTube 360* 4K vids work well also... I was amazed! However, there are still glitches that I HOPE will get solved down the road in future updates... On the new home screen, when you "remove from watchlist", it tries but fails to do it... Also, the Crunchyroll anime app does NOT work on this TV - at least until the lazy Crunchy team decides to issue a patch for their broken Fire app (the app has TONS of recent 1 star reviews). Serious anime fans will need to have a PS4/Roku hooked up also. ... show more

  • Great TV, excellent interface
I’ve had this television for around a month now, and I love it. I’d been lusting after a 65 inch for MONTHS, and I just happened to catch this one on sale. I’ve enjoyed having either fire tv’s, Roku’s or vizio’s, so this tv fell right in line with my usual choices. I got home, connected the tv, signed in, and loaded all my usual apps on to the tv and I was up and running as if I’d had the tv for months already. Can’t go wrong with a fire tv (in my own personal opinion). I’ve just recently mounted it and I can’t complain even a little. If you see this tv on sale, BUY IT!!! ... show more
