My 5-Stars review is based on the fact that you can get this 50-inch Smart Fire TV with Alexa Remote for such a great price. That said, this is my SECOND Insignia Fire TV as the first one I got only lasted 2 years. I don't know if it was a quality control glitch or they just use cheap components, but the picture went black after only 2 years. Yet I still bought another one because you can't beat the price for such a tricked-out TV + if it only lasts another 2 years I will have still gotten my money's worth. Ultimately, I'm hoping that now 2 years later they've put together a better build with better quality parts. The picture is awesome + really looks great. The colors really pop off the screen + it's sharp + bright. As far as responding to the remote + loading up the home screen, it can be a bit laggy but not a big deal to me. I love being able to voice search. Once you have Alexa built-in on the remote, you just can't go back to not having it! It's that user-friendly + easy. My friends love using it to search YouTube for music videos + to find just about anything that was ever made into a show or a movie. It's got plenty of built-in memory + will load up a ton of apps. You can also plug in a USB thumb drive for extra memory, if you should somehow need more, or to play videos, music, do a photo show, etc. It has 2 HDMI ports so I can keep my laptop plugged in one + my sound bar plugged in the other. If you use an ARC-enabled HDMI cable to connect the sound bar, the TV will then automatically control your sound bar--turning it on automatically when u turn on the TV + making it so the TV remote will also control the sound bar volume!! No need for 2 separate remotes anymore. Afterall, it is a Smart TV. The Fire part of the TV works great. It streams beautifully. Really, everything about this TV is a winner. It's only 3-1/2 inches thick from the front screen to the back. Viewable from virtually every angle. Crossing my fingers that this model lasts longer than the first one. Even if it doesn't, I will have gotten my money's worth out of it. It's that good of a deal for a Smart Fire TV with the Alexa remote.

Super Amazon Firestick TV. Functions extremely well. I added some apps/channels, but the viewing angle on it is fantastic. The size is large enough to see an enlarged picture, but not so big that it’s immense (which I personally don’t care for). It allows several apps to be added also. The remote even has the Prime, Netflix, Disney, and Peacock app buttons on it. The color is also perfect. I never have to worry about any “squiggly line” colors. A good TV!

I bought this insignia fire TV hoping to get a great deal and it was. The downfall that I found with it is that if you're looking to cast from your phone to the TV it does not work. I had my maintenance man working on it for over 4 hours and could not get it to work even following the instructions that it says to do. We also called Amazon in regards to this issue and their technician could not resolve the issue either. Other than that, the TV works great for everything else. The Alexa feature works excellent for me since I'm a quadriplegic and use it to control my TV for watching movies etc. It's lightweight for the size and the UHD is in fact ultra high definition. The picture quality is remarkable and the sound quality leaves nothing to be desired either. Overall it's an excellent TV especially for the money. Would recommend if they get the issue with casting fixed. I'm able to cast YouTube to the TV, but not any of my streaming apps such as, Disney Plus, prime video, to be, Hulu, Paramount Plus, showtime and more.
