Frequently asked questions

The Lenovo Legion Go Gaming Handheld PC offers a battery life that varies based on usage and settings. For typical gaming usage, you can expect around 5 to 8 hours of playtime. Battery longevity can be extended with lower brightness settings and less resource-intensive games or applications.

The Lenovo Legion Go comes with an upgraded 2TB SSD for extensive storage right from the start. While the device itself is designed with a high-capacity SSD, further upgrading the internal storage beyond 2TB may not be supported directly. However, external storage solutions can be used to expand game libraries and storage capacity.

The Lenovo Legion Go Gaming Handheld PC runs Windows, which makes it compatible with a wide range of PC games available through various digital distribution platforms like Steam, Epic Games Store, and more. There's no need for specific handheld-only games, giving users access to a vast library of existing PC titles.

The touchscreen feature on the Lenovo Legion Go enhances gaming by providing an additional input method alongside traditional controls. It enables intuitive touch controls for games and applications that support it, offering a more interactive and flexible gaming experience, especially for strategy games, puzzles, and other genres where touch controls can offer greater precision.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The provided reviews paint a picture of a highly regarded gaming device that strikes a perfect balance between the portability of a handheld and the functionality of a gaming laptop. It boasts exceptional performance, being able to run demanding games smoothly, and is praised for its innovative design that combines a large screen and physical controls in a lightweight form. However, battery life under heavy use and some concerns about SSD reliability are notable drawbacks.

Pros

  • 🎮 Exceptional gaming performance with the ability to run demanding titles smoothly.
  • 💼 Portable and lighter than a laptop, making it ideal for gaming on the go.
  • 🖥 Large, high-quality screen that enhances the gaming experience.
  • 🔌 Adequate connectivity options including SD card reader, USB C ports, and a built-in stand.
  • 👾 Unique design that incorporates built-in controls for a seamless gaming experience.

Cons

  • ⏳ Battery life is short when playing graphics-intensive games, lasting around 2 hours or less.
  • ⚙ Some users reported issues with SSD reliability, particularly with the 2TB upgrades.
  • 🎮 Controls layout may require an adjustment period due to non-standard placement.
  • 📏 While performance is high, the device may struggle at full resolution without adjustments.

Should I Buy It?

If you're in search of a portable gaming device that does not compromise on performance and are willing to manage short battery life and potential SSD issues, this product may be a great fit. However, if uninterrupted playtime and absolute reliability are paramount, you might want to consider alternatives or anticipate the need for accessories like external battery packs or SSD upgrades.

  • Awesome
Size: 2TB
This thing is awesome. I don’t do very many reviews, but this is worth the use. Aside from the typical windows setup and amd/legion software its great. Runs any one of my games. I typically play elden ring and i get between 50-60fps. The controls you need to get used to, instead of your typical controller where your start button is on the top, they are on the lower left side. Battery life of course is garbage, but what do you expect from a windows pc handheld? This thing is what i was hoping for, steam on the go. ... show more

  • It's a laptop with built-in controller
Size: 2TB
After all the setup and getting things downloaded, this is my new best friend. It is so much smaller and lighter than a laptop but has all the function of one. It plays all my games that can use a controller and with a keyboard/mouse combo I can play all the FPS games. Touch screen, sd card reader, 2 usb c ports (data or power) and a built-in stand. The only thing I can find to complain on is that the battery only lasts for 2 hours when playing heavy games, but there are 12v battery packs on Amazon to extend that. It is powerful, portable and runs full version of W11. ... show more

Not the best handheld, but the best gaming laptop. All it needs a keyboard attachment to be perfect.

  • Awesome and flawed
Size: 2TB
I enjoy the device but it is not perfect. The upgrade only helps with storage, the machine is easily overwhelmed at full resolution. I have been running at 1280x800 to help with the shortcomings of the display adapter which needs to be able to dedicate 4 or 8 gigs of ram to video without reducing usable main memory. ... show more

  • Amazing for handheld gaming.

  • Find out what brand they use for the upgrade.
Size: 2TB
I strongly recommend you avoid these 2tb drives. There has been a lot of failures out of these drives that Micro Center is using for the upgrades. I purchased two upgrades through Micro Center one for myself and one for a friend. Within a few months both SSDs have failed. Upon reading around the internet these have a pretty high failure rate in the Legion Gos. You might consider spending the extra money for a better brand to save yourself the headache. I hope they have switched to their Inland brand and not the Visiontek drives they used early on. Other than the terrible drive I absolutely love this device. ... show more
