My dad really likes it. He had a stroke and this is the only one I have found with this kind of mechanism that can be used with one hand. It was very easy to put together. The only downside is my dad has one of those adjustable beds kind of lower to the ground and it did not fit and was too tall. We ended up having to forgoe the legs but securing the bar to the bed works well. I wish they made a more compact size but its sturdy and well worth the price. My dad is able to use this with no issue and it's much easier than the other ones that require two hands.

As an elderly person, I knew there would be a time when I would need some helper devices for stability. I have a high enough bed that I need two steps to get into it. It’s not difficult, but stepping down to get off is risky. When I saw this small assist bedrail, I knew it would be helpful. I installed it at the foot of my bed, right by the lowest step. My hand naturally falls on the rail as I step down, so it’s reassuring for balance and something to hang onto if I should fall. The lowest setting is about an inch too high for my platform bed, but it fits anyway by leaning forward a bit and snugging up under the mattress. It is very stable and I don’t even have the stabilizing strap attached yet. Also, it fits even with a blanket lifter installed at the foot of the bed. The product itself …very heavy duty, strong, well-made. All the pieces fit together perfectly and are stable when connected. It did take me about twenty minutes to put this together …there are a lot of pieces. But it wasn’t too hard, taking it one step at a time. The manual shows pictures at every step and the pieces are labeled on the manual. It is highly adjustable for height of the bar that goes under the mattress and for height of the padded hand-hold bar that extends upward. The folding mechanism and lock are easy to move, and work well. The pouch is a nice size and attaches easily with Velcro. It is zippered and the zipper is easy to move, though you may want to put a zipper pull on it for easier access. The motion-sensing light has various brightnesses and was simple to get working also. It slides into place on the railing very easily, so it will be easy to remove for recharging. I took a few pictures to show you what I received: 1- as it arrived, in the box; 2- side of the box 3- everything out of the box; 4- everything out of packaging; 5- manual, strapping, light, clips; 6- light box unpacked; 7- light buttons and charging port; 8- light box front; 9- light box back; 10- light box side; 11- warranty card side 1; 12- warranty card side 2; 13- light and bag installed; 14- rail handle folded down; 15- in use, on a bed. This is a very heavy-duty, foldable bed rail that can certainly provide stability and possibly prevent injury for anyone needing such a device. The price is appropriate for this high-quality item. I have no hesitation recommending it. I purchased the Inkolelo Bed Rail to help my mother get in and out of bed safely. The rail includes a piece that fits under the mattress between the two sections, and it comes with a belt to secure it. However, even after connecting the belt to the mattress, the rail still moves quite a bit when getting in and out of bed. Her physical therapist did not feel comfortable recommending this type of rail due to the movement. While the design is thoughtful with a motion sensor light and storage pocket, be mindful that this brand’s bed rail may not provide complete stability.
