This tattoo pen is a real sleeper. Looking at it you would simply think that this is just another "plain Jane" entry level, rotary tattoo pen. You'd be wrong. As soon as you turn this pen on you'll be shocked. It runs as well as those tattoo pens costing hundreds of dollars more, maybe even better. The fit and finish on this pen is excellent, with very tight tolerances, and nice machine work. The finish is a very nice, satin matte, in black. This pen has a good grip area, and just feels nice in the hand. It features a good LCD digital display at top that shows just essential information (voltage level, and battery charge level). It's easy to read, and sits atop the 3 button operation, which is easy (and intuitive) to use. There's a USB-C charge port at the top, and a USB cable is included for charging (USB-A to USB-C). I like the grip even though the very bottom is curved in, because it's thick, and has parallel sides. This makes it a breeze to fatten up using just grip tape & folded paper towel. This is important because a thick grip prevents finger and hand fatigue when working long hours. The stroke length is adjustable, however, there are no click-stops for doing so. I consider this a negative, but not a big one. The working range on this pen (using integral battery pack) is from 5.0v to 12.0v, and it's supremely quiet, and smooth throughout the entire range. In the lower range I had to put the pen to my ear to assure myself that it was actually running. It's also worth noting that this battery will adjust in 1/10th volt increments. Very nice, indeed. This is a superb starter pen for anyone beginning tattoo work, or even for someone more advanced. In fact, it's also a great value, but now an even better one. That's due to the great, money-saving code that's posted right there on the product page. Super pen, great deal, amazing value.
