Worked very well for my dog who had ACL repair surgery. Not only did it keep her from licking at her surgical area, but you can inflate/deflate the cone to the dog's comfort level so it's like a pillow for them to sleep on (so helpful when they have to wear this for extended lengths of time). The inner area of the cone allows you to insert your dog's collar so you can actually use this as the means of securing it, leaving a little wiggle room for the cone itself. Highly recommend. I would add that if you’re planning to use this for post surgical use, it was helpful to put it on my dog here and there in the days prior to surgery. That way when she was out of surgery and had it around her neck at the vet hospital, she wasn’t as scared of it, especially when she was on medications.

Ah, the inflatable dog collar, the fashion-forward accessory for the discerning canine! I must say, watching my dog prance around in what looks like a cross between a life preserver and a trendy neck pillow was quite the spectacle. Firstly, let's talk about functionality. While it did its job in preventing my furry friend from reaching her favorite scratching spots, it did not transform him into a living, breathing satellite dish. Nor was navigating door frames suddenly became an Olympic sport for him. This is a much more functional option than the hard plastic cone of shame you'll get from your vet (for the same price). My Goldendoodle had to have surgery last week to have tumors removed, she loathes the cone of shame so we purchased this for her and we told her it was a necklace. She loves it! She will probably be wearing it long after her stitches are removed, she uses it like a comfy pillow. Only drawbacks is it needs touch up inflation as it loses a little sir, no big deal just a quick zap with potable air compressor gets it right back into good order. I highly recommend this instead of the trational E -Collar. This is an XL, very soft, has adjustable velcro strap for sizing. Shelby is a 56 lb Goldendoodle, the XL fits her great!

Bought for my senior pup as he has bad allergies and licks. We have used donuts like this on him in the past and have worked great and held air. Unfortunately, after about a month it has started to deflate on its own and we can’t locate where the hole it to keep it from doing so.

This cone is my favorite cone as far as comfort level for the animal. They can easily eat and drink without having to take it off. They rest their head on it while they sleep, so it’s a great design as far as that, however my dog can easily bend and reach his paws and his hind legs and at the same time he can reach his face with his hind legs, so within seconds, he can get his face all scratched up. This cone is perfect for those of you that your pet is post abdominal surgery or they just got fixed.

I use it to keep him from going through the gates, it’s soft and comfortable. He doesn’t try to take it off and it doesn’t come off when he rans, jumps etc. the air does leave but slowly, I said I had to inflate it again a week later but it could’ve be because he doesn’t mess with it!
