Being a pet owner means being ready for emergencies, even as simple as paw licking or tail biting. I used something similar to this when my puppy was getting neutered and it was absolutely a breeze dealing with those 15 days post surgery. He did not love them obviously, but he tolerated it well. With these cone collars, you can rest assured that their neck is not getting injured and they have a soft cushion and a pillow to rest their head on when they're laying down. You can even take the plastic see-through window off with the zipper when you don't need it. Keep in mind though that with this particular brand, the zipper is really bad and kept getting stuck multiple times, so I'm assuming that the zipper would be the first thing to go in this product. You can see my puppy is not happy even when I was taking a picture with him. Please please do not use anything else other than the inflatable collars as they may be damaging to your puppies neck. I like this product minus the zipper. Disclosure: I ordered this item through the Amazon Vine program and I have done my best to provide an honest unbiased review. How I rate the products- 5 Stars = Exceeded my expectations. Love it and will buy again. 4 Stars = Exactly what I was looking and hoped for. Some issues. 3 Stars = Satisfactory. Minor, acceptable issues but it does the job. 2 Stars = Wouldn't recommend or buy again. May work for you but did not for me. 1 Stars = Complete waste of a product. Went to trash

This is a great dog cone with a versatile design that allows you to extend the reach when needed. It does take some finagling to get this set up, but my dog has been so comfortable while wearing it, that he falls asleep while it's on. With a giant breed dog, it is a nightmare to have a massive cone taking out everything in it's path. This is a great alternative. Keep in mind, there are some injuries/surgeries that an inflatable cone will never work for. Eye/face/front limbs need something with more restriction to prevent damage to healing wounds. There is no need to ding this product for that. Use it for what it is intended for and it works like a dream, even extending the restriction by the zip on cone extension. 10/10 would recommend.

My dog hides when she sees the old cone. And I can’t blame her, it was horrible even to put on. So I thought at least a comfortable ring would be good. She actually doesn’t mind the blow up ring so much which is amazing. She is not a fan when the cone goes on but it’s not about her liking it. Anyway, about the unit. I like that you could use it with or without the cone part, depending on the injury location. Functionally though, it isn’t fun to put the cone on. It was curled/store/shipped in the opposite direction so it’s hard to get on. Don’t do like me and put it on backwards to try to go with the direction…it gets quite stuck. The other thing about the opposite direction is that it’s curled in so you really have to Velcro it well. However, the Velcro isn’t crazy strong which is good in a sense as it doesn’t freak the dog out when removing it. So it’s not perfect but it’s still pretty good once you get it setup. The only downfall is that the cone is on the short side. So for my dogs eye injury for example, she could still rub her face on the furniture and walls to itch. So it’s good for most uses but unfortunately I still have to keep the old one around.

We ordered the XL size. We just got a collar that that had the same size requirements as this cone. The cone is way to loose, and our dog can get out of it in seconds. Otherwise it is nice. It didn't take long to inflate, but the nozzle is a bit short if you are inflating it by mouth as I assume most will. It isn't a problem, but it does make it a bit more difficult to inflate.
