Okay, I’ll start this off with stating that I’m an avid audiophile. I LOVE music, and being a musician myself I am so picky about my music being as detailed as possible. On to the business, Before purchasing this set of speakers, I had already owned 2 sets of Infinity Kappa 60.11cs, which have been absolutely phenomenal and even after a ton of abuse and loud, loud music, they are still as beautifully detailed as they were when they were new. I’ve run the 4 other kappas through so many of my different cars (car enthusiast, they go quick but my audio system stays with me). However, after purchasing a older luxury cruiser for myself, I decided I was going to replace the rear deck speakers with these, as these are the beefed up versions of what I’m running in the front. Let me tell you guys right now, if you’re on the fence about what 6x9 to buy. Let me end that right now. Buy these. Not only are they capable of producing an insane amount of bass (something the 6.5’s can do but I prefer not to have them do), but they are so damn crystal clear all the way up. When they’re amplified by a good amp, they get crazy loud and stay crystal clear too. Now, I‘ve tested these speakers on both the stock amp (Bose 300 watt system from an 02 Acura RL), and on the amp these will be on permanently (Taramps TS 400x4). Even on the stock amp, the difference is night and day, the bass is just so potent, tight, and natural sounding. The vocals make you feel like you’re right there next to the singer, and everything else about the music is brought forward for you to hear. You’ll hear Lifelike things you’ve never noticed in your music before (something I previously only attributed to Klipsch speakers). On the Taramps amp, they’re getting about 120-130 watts RMS (perfect for these). I gotta say, I can’t turn it up more than halfway, it gets so LOUD, while remaining crystal clear all the way up. It’s like sitting inside of a car, and just casually blasting myself with a personal concert. I’ve never been happier with a pair of vehicle speakers before. Should I ever need another pair of 6x9’s, I will not hesitate to purchases these again, and you shouldn’t hesitate any longer either. These are fantastic! Also, if you can: Make sure you either time align your speakers (or have a shop do it), OR, make sure you stage your system out correctly. Basically if you think the sound is too low in your car, experiment with tweeter placement, or mids and tweeters if you buy the 3 way kit, but be warned, these tweeters are on the bright side, they will be very loud when aimed to bounce the sound off windshields.

I had a set of Infinity Kappa Perfect components back in the early 2000’s powered by a JL Audio 150/2 and I loved them. The downside was a harsh tweeter, even with the -6 decibel setting in the crossovers. I was concerned these Infinity Kappa 6x9’s would be a little harsh as well, but I was pleasantly surprised! The tweeters are crisp and smooth with a silky top end that I love. The 6x9’s have a strong bass response, and I actually have to lower the bass on my head unit to get a flat frequency response. I don’t have subs at the moment, and I can’t wait to add one. I’ll then be able to lower the high pass filter to bring that bass to the front soundstage. At the moment, I’m running them full range, and have them powered by a Kicker CXA 360.4. This amp puts out 90 watts per channel, but I think the Kappas would like a little more power. They are rated for 135 watts RMS. One downside to this component set is the circular shape of the crossovers. They’re big and finding a suitable mounting location can be difficult! They do seem to be made with quality components. In conclusion, I am very impressed with this speaker set and I highly recommend installing these in your vehicle. Just make sure to give them plenty of power and the amplifier can handle 2 ohms.

I installed these and the infinity 2 inch kappa mids in my 2016 Silverado to replace the factory front speakers. The instant clarity and huge improvement is bass response blew me away. Tight, powerful bass actually shakes the rearview mirror. I can't wait to install the amplifiers and subs. I've been in mobile audio for over 20 years, and I honestly never expect this big of an improvement with a factory head unit. AMAZING! I would like to see better hardware for mounting the 6x9s. The screw heads are small enough to pull through the mounting ears on the speakers.

Let me start out by saying these are very loud and play crystal clear, I am finding new details in music I have been missing for a while. They also have a pleasing mid range, and put out some decent bass. The tweeter attenuation circuit is a nice touch too, which i used. I am driving these with an old school US amps USA-100x that does 100w per channel RMS and I can drive them into distortion with it, but those amps are beastly. Let me tell you that if you power them they play very loud! I measured 113db with a DB app and my ears were ringing. Honestly they are probably more than you will ever need. I installed these in a 2015 F150 and I had to make an adaptor plate for these to fit, they did not come with one like the reference series 6.5” I bought for the rear doors. No big deal though, if you are buying components like this you should plan to customize some. The crossover is pretty big too, and I had a hard time finding room for it behind the door panel. All in all I am very happy, another great product from Harman, they remind me of the JBL Gto series I had in my last truck which I was also happy with. These have more impact and play louder, they are probably with the extra money if that’s what your after.

I've purchased these for my 2017 impala. They sound clean crisp and full and deep for their size. (I've purchased the 2" mid) the only thing I find wrong is the size of the 6x9 woofer in the doors. I've installed these in the stock doors and I thought if he burned these out with the stock amp bc they have started to sound raspy. I pulled one out and the rubber surround was torn from rubbing on the top door panel. Not recommend for 2017 impala front door panels install. Rear deck should be fine.

I recived the speakers pretty quickly. They came in a new box. They looked awesome. They sound good but one of the speakers has a bad voice coil and i have sent the sell a message and they choise not to respond. So Ill leave a bad review due to bad customer service and a defective speaker.
