Assembly was very easy, and the Edison bulb it comes with has decent brightness and looks very natural with the style of the lamp. One reason I didn't go with 5 stars is that the cord comes out at the bottom of the pole (as shown), as opposed to coming from under the base. I would also prefer to have a switch near the bulb, itself, rather than just the foot switch. Perhaps it could have been designed with both, so the user could have a choice.     • Perfect for a dark corner or area needing extra, soft light. Easy to assemble. Looks nice.
Uses 60 watt bulb max so is designed for back lighting vs a reading lamp. It was packed very well & was easy to assemble. Everything was already in order of assembly & just needed to be screwed together. A HUGE plus for me that doesn't usually come with lamps like this is in the shade. There is a comfortable to screw in place plastic ring that gets screwed in once you've put the bulb into its socket. That piece holds the shade firmly in place so there's no wobbling around & I love that. The tap foot on/off switch works perfectly & the lamp base, while small, is heavy & very sturdy. I needed something for my office that could fit in between my bookcase & my glass top table but be out of the way so this fit that need beautifully. I set it up so that I can use the light switch at the door to the room for instant illumination when I need it. Being a 60watt LED light doesn't really give me enough for close desk work but it's just perfect to illuminate the whole working area. I'm very pleased with this lamp and would recommend it to someone needed something that doesn't take up a ton of space. ... show more

I am very impressed with the quality of this lamp. I needed a lamp for a darker side of my living room. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot out of this lamp when I ordered it as most floor lamps I've had in the past are pretty cheaply made. Not this one. It is very sturdy. It was easy to assemble out of the box and even included an Edison bulb. I even think it looks better than the product pictures. I would definitely recommend. ... show more

This industrial floor lamp from ROTTOGOON is easy enough to assemble. As with all such standing tube-style lamps, you screw the ends together and into the heavy base. The shade, as it is, goes on the end with a simple nut and then the bulb. All good and well. Now the problem areas for us are in the base (no niche or cut in the base to hide the cord) and the bulb is so bright! It's about as bright as those work lamps - and we're not exaggerating. It's in no way a soft and subtle mood light for a living room or quiet corner. We'll seek out a softer bulb, perhaps a frosted one, but it might've been a nice option to have some kind of attachable filter for the lamp shade so you could have a softer feel. ... show more
