Fast delivery, very well packaged to avoid any damage, easy to assemble (no instructions on the swift but that really isn’t necessary). Now, until now I used the back of a chair to wind skeins, and used toilet paper rolls to help make yarn cakes. Working with these beautiful items was such a pleasure! My husband didn’t understand why I kept smiling the whole time during the first use. No tangles, neatly and orderly wound into a cake. The swift heavy enough so it doesn’t need to be clamped (though I was provided with one and an extra drive belt for the winder). I love it!!! ... show more

Husband review: I would definitely buy another winder and swift from this small business. It saves me hours of time holding yarn so my wife can wind cakes for her next project. Quality is top notch. Wood is gorgeous and dense. It winds beautiful cakes of yarn. It is solid enough that you don’t need to tie it down to use. The weight of the winder allows it to be very stable. My wife winds without issue. Saved so much time, and a thankful husband is appreciative! Great investment and appreciate the little gift provided (dog keychain). I did a lot of searching before purchasing and everything I read lead me to this ball winder. It is as described and beautifully finished. I just saw a video who someone else has put up on Amazon concerning the ball winder and how it didn't fit together. I would like to say that she did not read the instructions properly because she was not assembling as the instructions told her to do. There is also a video through their store that shows how to put it together. I'm extremely happy with this product and would definitely buy again. A good investment ... show more

The winder and swift are beautiful sold wood and heavy duty. They were partially assembled and all the pieces were wrapped individually in either plastic or bubble wrap with paper stuffed in the box to keep them from sliding around. There was an assembly diagram in the box, but it was also helpful to look again at the pictures and video on Amazon. Two words about the seller — Great Service! I ordered one day and the winder and swift shipped the next day apparently from India. They arrived in only four days! I messaged the seller once and the response was immediate. ... show more

instructions or how to put together could be improved; but i was able to put together and it works wonderfully. it is easy to thread and the yarn travels smoothly. and it makes the cutiest lil yarn cakes. and the winder is pretty. it is definitely a keeper glad i ordered it

Poorly made. Read reviews decided current ones were ok. Did not wind properly, was not sturdy, not put together in firm fashion to operate, threaded pieces did not fit, installed poorly, and!…read the small print…as a 3rd party seller and if you return YOU have to pay to ship to INDIA. The selling company does not support return and the bill is on you! UPS told me about the continued problems for many regarding 3rd party purchases. When ordering, look at the shipper ie: Amazon or 3rd party. Contacting Amazon was very helpful. They confirmed the company did refund and I do not have to return product. Emails after questions of product received were a bit confusing for me and maybe would not be for others. Just checked my bank account the monies have been returned although pending as of last night. I do not like loosing $102. Best wishes in your further purchases. Now I must question all purchases I make through Amazon. Thank you Amazon for your care and attention with my issue. ... show more
