These boards work great and fit perfectly in both of my kids bunk beds! There was no modification needed to make these fit, and they are easily folded down for storage if I need to remove them for any reason. There is no assembly required as the boards are stapled together with condura like straps, allowing them to accordion fold for transport of moving, and then easily unfold for installation. The thickness makes the bed feel sturdy and makes the mattress feel more conformable as you are no longer feeling the wooden slats, only the flat and smooth bed board.

I ordered this for a brand new very pricey mattress. The bed base that it is going on has very wide slats, and would require a very sturdy and thick bunkie board for support. The only way I could find to determine the thickness was the images of the product as it wasn't available in the description. In the images it appears to be 1" thick. FAR FROM IT! I bet if measured with a caliper, it would not come to a full 1/4", although close. I wanted to return it immediately. But sadly, I didn't have enough time before the delivery to have something quality delivered. I had to rip apart the original box spring that I was replacing. And try to use the wire mesh and some of the slats to create an actual support system underneath it so that it would hold!! If I wanted to spend all day playing sweaty MacGyver in my hot garage, then I wouldn't have paid good money for this piece!!!

This seems to be a good sturdy bed board. I just put it on my bed yesterday. It makes my mattress feel much firmer which is more comfortable and better for my back.

This helps so much with mattress noise. It's pretty sturdy and easy to install. Not too heavy,but may need 2 people to put it in the frame. If you buy a cheap bed frame,get it. It cuts down noise and helps support mattress.

Item is cheaply made and does not fit a regular queen size bed..only covers about 80% of the slats. I would not recommend purchasing this item. Small pieces of the edges were broken off when received.

Terrible it does not fit a queen bed as described. It does not function as the Amazon description describes. It will not support a queen mattress because it is to small.
