  • Good, could be better
After one week this printer has been a nice improvement over my previous Brother laser. (I chose Canon because I have a Canon inkjet that has been a workhorse for years.) But please watch the Canon YouTube video to setup the wifi connection (unless you recognize techspeak such as “wireless LAN” for “wifi,” “SSID” for Network Name and “network key” for “password”). Minor issue: It has dropped the network connection twice (why? no other digital device in the house does), but this is cured in one minute by turning the power Off then On. ... show more

  • Very Impressed
I was hesitant to spend this much on a printer, but so glad I did! Yes, it's only black and white, but that is the majority of what I would print, so- OK. Inkjet printers always seem to have the cartridges dry out before printing much, as I rarely print more than a few things per year. Then I'd go to print something and have to stop, run to the store and buy new cartridges (that cost almost as much as a new printer), dash home install and finally print. No more! Laser printers don't use liquid ink, so there's nothing to dry out! As for the imageCLASS MF267dw, super easy setup! Have it set up on wifi. Alexa interfaces with it and can be useful ("Alexa- print shopping list." or "Alexa- print recipe for cornbread." . The print quality is great, sharp and clean. The interface is easy to navigate, I can even print from my phone. Have also scanned in color pictures and copied two-sided documents. Love this printer! *Note: I gave 5 stars for tech support, but I have not needed any.....to me, that's the best tech support! ... show more

  • Difficult Setup, totally non-intuitive, can be made to work with lots of effort
I saw the Canon brand and thought they make reasonable stuff. This thing has the feel of something very cheaply made in China, from the cheap plastic to the odd-ball menus that are difficult to navigate. I think Canon wanted a cheap MFP, and slapped their name on some weirdo low cost printer made by someone else. The unit I received HAS NO ETHERNET. They make a couple models, and if you don't want wireless-only (or USB only) be careful which one you get. The amazon reviews are for some model that does have ETHERNET but this one does not. Also, I had to enable SSID broadcast on 2.4Ghz to enable the printer to see my wireless network at all. Manual entry no gotty. It does actually work. Setting up scanning to email is possible but the port setting is difficult to find (not in same place as SMTP setting). I needed to do SSL port 465 with auth to get it working, but finding the setting on the printer is an exercise. If I had it over to do again, I'd pay 2x the price or more and just get something good. One more thing, they permit "REMOTE UI" which I initially disabled. Turns out that "REMOTE UI" is the web admin. Since the printer has a non-routable address inside my home, the risk is mostly mitigated. And having the web setup is very useful compared to using the printer's menus only. Minimally I'd turn it on for setup, then once setup turn it off for security. Else even more complex to setup. ... show more

  • Solid laser all in one printer. Recommended.
Arrived in perfect condition, easy to set up. A far more pleasant Canon printer set up experience than my Brother MFC7840w I'm replacing it with that I can't even give that all in one away for free, it seems. Works perfectly with Apple's 64bit operating system upgrade Catalina (which bricked my now worthless Brother all in one I"m hating so much. With Canon, it's really intuitive, and if you want to be absolutely sure you're doing it right, just look at their website for their Imageclass MF267dw printer set up brief, but detailed instructional videos you can follow along with with your Mac, PC, or iPhone to pair and set up with complete ease. Do that, and you won't have a bad time. By the way, as soon this printer was easily connected to my wifi network, I was able to print an email directly from my iPhone that was signed in on the same network. No bluetooth. Just hold down the screen and up comes Canon AirPrint, ready to print that email, DOUBLE-SIDED. Don't pay any attention to those reviewers that don't know their electronic devices. This is too simple. Wish I'd purchased Canon in the first place many many years ago. And for $150? Over $100 less expensive than any local office supply store. That's really a great price! Scanner, copier, printer, software set up -all work perfectly as described and advertised. Brother=bad. Canon=great. ... show more

  • What's Not To Like
It has some bad reviews, but I generally like Cannon. I ordered it and like it. It set up easy and I hooked it to the router, so it is on network. I used a lan cable to connect it to router, now all on the network can access it. It set up easy by the directions. It has alot of tape on it for shipment, so follow instruction on removing all the tape! I watched some unboxing on youtube and they were almost breaking it to remove tape that was holding down various items. Remember the words men find so hard to say: "I don't know". So I wonder if people who had trouble used the manual? I printed two test pages and they were perfect. I don't print much so I need a laser, no more inkjets that dry out and I have to spend hours cleaning and soaking to dissolve clogged print heads. I also don't use much color so black and white is good for me. No printer is perfect, but this one seem good to me. There are people who write reviews who would complain about sliced bread (too thick or thin). Don't be afraid to buy it. ... show more
