Using this to secure a 10' x 10' pop-up canopy. This set is replacing an older set of water weights that were made of hard plastic which eventually wore through at the bottom of the weights causing leaks. These have double the capacity of my older weights which is great for windy days. These weights are soft-sided which means they won't stand up on their own when not fastened to a pole, which makes them more difficult to transport when filled with water. The screw cap is secure and leak-proof. These are brand new, so I don't know how durable the material is. I hope these don't wear through like my older weights, but it's too soon to gauge their durability.

I recently took the ILLUMINEW 4 Pack Canopy Water Weight Bag on my 5-day camping trip to Padre Island Seashore, and wow, did they exceed my expectations! I used them to anchor my 12' x 16' beach shelter, and they worked like a charm. First, these weight bags are incredibly durable. They're made from tough, waterproof PVC that feels like it can withstand anything. I filled them with seawater, and they held up beautifully, even with wind gusts hitting 35 mph. Not a single leak or tear! What I love most about these weight bags is how easy they are to use. Each bag has three Velcro straps that make attaching them to the tent poles a breeze. No messing around with hooks or ropes - just wrap, secure, and you're good to go! Another huge plus is how portable they are. When empty, they fold up so small that I could tuck them away in a small stuff sack, and they all take up very little space. And at just 22 lbs each when filled, they add some weight to keep things stable, but not so much that they're a pain to carry around. The wide filler cap made filling the bags with water super easy, and once sealed, they held the water securely without any leaks. And when it was time to pack up, I emptied the bags on the sand, folded them up, and they were ready for my next adventure. If I had to nitpick, the only thing that might be a bit of a hassle is emptying the bags, but that's honestly such a minor issue compared to all the benefits they offer. Overall, I recommend the ILLUMINEW 4-Pack Canopy Water Weight Bag. They're sturdy, versatile, and so convenient to use. If you're looking for a reliable way to anchor your tent or canopy, these water-weight bags are the way to go.

I got these for a 10 x 10 canopy and got to try them this past weekend on a 20mph wind day with higher gusts. These water weight bags did the job as the canopy stayed in place. I mainly got these for their portability and ease of storage. The filler cap is wide and securely hold the water once sealed. I have 4 sand filled bags for the canopy at the same weight but their size and weight are fixed making transport and storage unwieldy. On these, you dump the water out when finished and they compress into small flat bags for easy storage. The are easily attached with 3 Velcro loops and they seem to be at a reasonable price based on others. If storage and portability are part of your consideration for securing your canopy, these are a great option.

These will leak. I use these one time. One of them leaked and drained a few gallons out in my car overnight. I made sure to tighten them as much as possible so they wouldn’t leak.
