I have been looking for fender flares for my Ram for months - literally. Now I could afford 500 dollar flares which would have made my search easy but I don't like paying full price and I'm always looking for a deal. So in the last couple of months I've ordered 4 sets of flares. Two from Amazon and two sets from Ebay. They have all been junk. A lot of that has to do with the price point I'm sure but I am a firm believer that with so many different vendors out there surely there must be a decent product available. Previous sets all had two common defects. The surface is textured in spite if them being described as smooth surface. None of the previous ones were textured like they were intended to be textured. It looks like a result of a poor manufacture process. This is important to me because I intend to paint them to match my truck. The other issue with the others is absolutely horrible fit of the other 100 - 150 dollar fender flares I previously purchased. None of them fit anywhere near well and all would have required some modification to make work such as drilling extra holes because the holes they came with didn't match the truck. Now I decided perhaps I need to spend a little more before conceding defeat and ordering the expensive Bushwacker flares. So I found these and the reviews sounded decent so I tried them. They came quickly which is nice. As soon as they arrived I quickly opened the box because I was so curious if smooth finish was really going to be smooth finish. Very impressed with the finish. Smooth and paintable as is. Yesterday I finally decided to try a test fitting before painting. Well what do you know? These flares fit like they were made by Mopar themselves. Everything lines up, all the holes, all the curves and creases. So happy with them. I'm going to hopefully be painting them this weekend. I already purchased 160 dollars worth of urethane base and clear coat so I'm committed to them. I'll post some photos afterwards but definitely a recommend product. Spend a little more but get a far superior product. I cannot imagine how a 600 dollar set of flares could be any better.

Terrible instructions, overly complicated to install. (I put some on my other truck and they were much easier to install. However, the worst thing was that no rubber strip came with the flares so they will quickly run the paint off your truck, and allow water and rust to occur. Also, one The flares was very bent out of shape from the way they were packaged. Very disappointed in product.

Package came the next day and was well packaged. Install took maybe 2 hours. My only wish is that the screws were longer and a big thicker to replace the factory screws but ultimately I just reused the factory screws and it looks amazing. Very subtle and affordable would definitely buy again in the future.

These flares were pretty simple to install. I installed the without taking off the wheels. The quality was OK. And these are more of a matte black rather than a shiny black. They seem as though they would take paint well and I' considering painting mine. I would have given a much higher rating, had it not been for the driver-side rear flare. This flare is a bit warped and it doesn't still flush to the body of my truck there's approximately a half inch gap between the flare and the truck body. I'd suggest considering a different brand.

2012 Ram 1500 Express. Take your time. Pull off the short factory installed guards front and back. I pulled the factory screws and reused all I could (longer). You will use 3 each (supplied with flares) per side on the front with the supplied retaining clips. At this time I cleaned and waxed the area (three to four inches) that would be covered by the flares (Sorry, OCD kicked in). When you start install be careful, pieces will be hot. Start at the top center and work out each way, but do not fully tighten yet. You will have to push in and up as you go back and tighten up. The rear will have enough factory screws. The front I used the factory screws two on each end and one in the top middle. I used the supplied screws in the rest of the holes in between. Perfect fit with no gaps. Letting them lay in the sun allowed them to "mold" themselves to the body of the truck. You can see in the pictures I did not have to remove the badging. I admit this took a lot more time but they look great.
