I have a 40x50 shop with a window on each side. With them open and this thing kicks on at 90 degrees it will drop the temperature back to 85 in a matter of minutes. I have only had it 6 months but so far so good. It's heavy so be prepared if you mount it up in the attic like I did. Its not quiet but it moves so much air I don;t know how they could have made it any quieter. ... show more

Fans are awesome, would give a 5, if the framing was internally sealed. I took the shroud and motors off and sealed all of the inside framing, and made a lip on the bottom to keep any rain runoff from backing into the building. Other than that they are well made and work great.

I had a 30x30 opening cut in and finished like it would be for a window in my 40x50 shop. With that finished opening, 8 bolts later it was plugged in and running. It's quieter than I expected, and with the roller door on the opposite end of the show opened just a few feet, you can feel it pulling the air through the opening. We'll see if it remains quiet and continues to work but at this point, I'm pleased with it. It was very well packed but even then there were a few small ripples in the flat metal frame. Nothing a few taps with a flat faced hammer couldn't take care of. Even though I installed a switch to control the power, I also extended the chain switch on the fan down so the speed can be changed without a ladder. ... show more

I ordered this after ordering a fan around the same size from one of the cheaper brands, almost half the price. That one wasnt even strong enough to open the louvres. I ordered this one to replace it, and it is MUCH higher quality and moves probably twice as much air in my 40x40 shop. You definitely get what you pay for, and this is the choice if you dont want to have to replace the cheap one. Just be aware that it does not come with a power cord, so you will have to wire in your own plug or to a switch, but is a simple 3 wire hookup that anyone with basic electric knowledge can do. ... show more

Just received the fan today. It was very well packaged to prevent damage. It appears to be well built and sturdy. There was an inspection tag where it had been tested and signed off. Measure to in diagram was right on I had the gram ready it slid in perfect. I read some reviews where there was worry of the noise. I did not hear anything not expected in fact it was quieter that I thought it would be. Was happy with the unit when I turned it on. This is mounted in a 35x20 greenhouse we will see how it holds up running in the hot part of the day. I hope it has no issues it appears to be well made and the Moyer is very secure. I attached a video for the sound. After I start the fan I did turn off the small fan above and you can hear the noise drop a lot. Not noisy at all. ... show more
