I bought this range fan with the intention of building a custom range hood cover. It had the dimensions we needed with the control buttons easily accessible on the bottom instead of the front, and plenty of reviews with the lower rated ones mainly being about the hands free controls being twitchy. Not something we cared about (but they work for us and the cats are intrigued) The fan arrived well packaged, but there was a rattling sound. One of the baffle latches had come loose and its screw was loose in the housing. I tried putting it together again but the screw had stripped the corresponding hole in the latch. I contacted iKTCH customer service via email and got a reply back in a matter of hours. They were shipping a new latch for the baffle and a new set of screws. The latch arrived 2 days later and everything fit together fine. As my build progressed (took longer than anticipated… curved was tricky) and we got everything mounted on the wall I realized the carbon filter was missing. Again I reached out to customer service and they sent the missing filter with order tracking (at no cost) and I had it in my hand in 2 days time. I recently purchased the iktch kitchen vent fan from Amazon, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! The fan arrived quickly and was easy to install, even for someone like me who is not particularly handy. The fan itself is incredibly powerful and quickly removes smoke, steam, and unpleasant odors from my kitchen. I love that it has multiple speed settings, so I can adjust it depending on what I'm cooking. The low setting is perfect for simmering sauces or sautéing vegetables, while the high setting quickly clears the air after frying or roasting. One thing I really appreciate about this vent fan is how quiet it is. I can have it running on high and still carry on a conversation without having to shout over the noise. It's also incredibly easy to clean, with a removable filter that can be washed in the dishwasher. Overall, I highly recommend the itkch kitchen vent fan to anyone in need of a powerful and reliable ventilation system. We really love this product because it just works. We are asian and food is always flavorful and it comes with one challenge - smell. So we needed a high CFM exhaust with a decent pricing. This exhuast was our solution. It works and we have been very happy. Recently we ran into a malfunction where lights were flickering and exhaust would randomly turn on. I reached out to Mary IKTCH and she is kind enough to send different parts including motherboard. Since that didn't resolve the issue she is sending a new unit. The product appear to work well, the gesture sensor appears hit or miss and it doesn't seem to have a gesture to turn off the lights. None of which are really an issue. a piece came damaged and I contacted support they sent me a replacement right away. Pretty happy overall

I love this product, we use it every day cooking and also to circulate the air in the house. The remote allowed me to install the fan in the ceiling so I did not have to remove the microwave. the ceiling installation was very simple.

The media could not be loaded. Sometimes it works with the hand wave, and sometimes it does not. It’s beautiful and fits perfectly in a hood, I give it three stars for not working properly when I need it the most. If there is nothing on the stove and you have not been around it, it will start up and stop with the wave of a hand most of the time. However, if you’ve been cooking, and you’ve been around it, it will not come on, or turn off with the wave of a hand. Then you have to get the remote control. It does nothing to get smoke or smells out of the house if you get the one that is not vented. Beware! You might as well not even turn it on. If you burn some thing it just fills the house up and recirculates smoke and smell, so get a vented one, if you really want to get rid of the smells and smoke. This was an afterthought on the new home, build, and our contractor never even built a vent into our home for a hood vent. We found out after and bought this one, so we’re trying to figure this all out, how we can tear it all out and vent it outside. Big mess!!! ... show more

Installation was easy. The exhaust is great, and the LEDs are perfect. The touch controls don't respond very well, so it's a struggle to turn things on at times. Just glad there's a remote, but then it needs to stay within reach when cooking.
