Be warned- you’re going to need to purchase the pouch of filler that you mix with water for the base AND you’re going to need the weighted bag for the top of the base if you get any amount of wind. We live in Southern California where winds can get strong off and on throughout the year. This is the second one we purchased; the first tipped over in the wind and busted. Base was filled with water, but it was enough to break the brackets loose from the backboard and make it unusable. Not the manufacturers fault. Bought this cheap moveable basketball hoop for the kids, and now my driveway is basically the NBA—if the NBA had way more airballs and occasional crying. The kids love it, though I’m pretty sure they’re inventing their own rules at this point (“three-pointer if you shout ‘banana’ first”). It’s lightweight enough to move, sturdy enough to survive dunk attempts from someone wearing rain boots, and it hasn’t blown over in the wind yet—which is honestly more than I expected. Best part? Setup was so easy I didn’t even have to Google “how to put together a basketball hoop without losing your mind.” Took less time than it does for my kids to lose the basketball down our hill here in TN. ... show more

Relatively easy to assemble - includes the tools you need and took about 20 minutes with one helper, and not trying to go too terribly fast. Nice flexibility in height. NOTE - HAVE SAND READY! I assumed that filling the counterweight base with water would be the normal method and while they support that, they HIGHLY recommend sand (because it can't leak away unnoticed). While I appreciate their logic, I wish I had known this up front so I could have gotten the sand bags in advance and been already to go. I ordered this because it was going to arrive on a Tuesday of a week where I'd be at that location until Friday morning. After ordering, when I got the shipment notice, it was changed to Friday (afternoon). So, due to the seller or logistics we didn't get to use it that week and there were some disappointed kids. The set up out of the box was very easy. After putting most of it together, I realized a set of screws were missing (There was a small hole in the box, so it could have fell out during transport). I sent a text message provided with the instructions. I received an immediate reply, the screws were shipped, and they gave me a partial refund for the trouble. With the mailed screws we quickly finished set up and have been happy with the product since. Sand is really not needed. We filled ours up with water and it works great. The kids can easily move it around as needed. It's a very sturdy product that can be height adjust very easy depending on the age and height of your children. I ordered this same goal last yr for my oldest grandson. We just had our 1st snowstorm in 15 yrs and 18 in accumulation. The goal stayed strong and upright with 2 sandbags. Great deal!

It was blown over in the wind (even though the base was full of water) and fell forward. The hoop rim is now bent and we can't get it shaped back to the circle so it won't work. I haven't been able to find replacement rim options on the IGL website. This is less than 1 year old. Disappointing. Update: the company saw my review and immediately refunded me for the full hoop.
