This is a generic bedframe offered by various sellers. Quality is fine: I found one small defect but no problems. An individual slat might not hold one person's weight, but the frame is solid and strong once assembled. Although it's not attractive, it's much more solid than a comparably-valued slatted wooden frame. The directions say it takes two people and a screwdriver to assemble, but I did it alone with only the supplied Allen keys. The parts are well-labeled and the diagrams are clear. It's a little tall when used with a thick box spring and mattress. Without the box spring, it would be short. There are enough slats that this would work, however. My main complaint that the posts are rather narrow (about 1" or 2 cm square). It would be nice if the frame came with feet for them to slip onto to protect the floor. ... show more

This bedframe would (like most items of furniture) be easier to assemble with two people, but I was able to put it together myself using something sturdy to lean a couple of parts against while I was working on them. No tools were necessary except the Allen wrench included in the kit. The parts were very well labeled. The instruction manual wasn't bad, once I grasped the concept of two different sized screws connecting together in the same hole, one from the bottom and one from the top. The little framing pieces that keep the mattress from slipping off one side or another are easily removable when making the bed, since they are simply molded pieces of plastic that slip over the bars of the bed. I found that my mattress stays in place without them, so I may not use them at all. All in all, a great purchase. ... show more

I do not like the 6 small parts that fits on the 3 sections of the frame to hold the mattress in place. They fall off easily and are not fixed or secured to the bed frame. You have to be careful when making the bed because you could get seriously hurt by hitting your foot on the steel frame. Some type of frame protection should be recommended. The frame seems longer than my queen size mattress which is very noticeable and quite obvious. I may have to return for a more suitable and much safer base for my mattress. ... show more
