I'm pretty impressed with this sofa futon, especially for the price. Initially I ran into a problem with assembly as the instructions were missing. I contacted the seller and received the instructions via an Amazon message within hours. They are simple to follow and the whole process only took about 20 minutes. I got this to replace another similar couch that I got a few years ago. While I paid more for that one, this one is far better in almost every way. The seat is deeper and the cushions are more comfortable. I use it as a bed for guests with a 3 inch twin topper. My original couch wasn't even as big as a twin bed. This one has a couple inches to spare for the topper, so sleeping on it is much nicer. The fold down armrests allow you to stretch out. The back has support arms that fold out from zipper pockets, giving extra stability. The gray one I chose is nice and neutral and goes perfectly with my other furniture. The fabric feels nice and seems of good quality. This would easily have been 5 stars but for two improvements. The legs are plastic instead of wood or metal. They feel sturdy, but not as solid as they could be. Also, one back piece sits about an inch higher than the other. Since I only use this in my spare room I'm not too worried, and it could be a one-off issue with my item. Overall, this is a major step up for my guest room and the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion, especially considering value and versatility. ... show more

No instructions.. relied on a short video and hit replay over and over. Holes were often not aligned which created a battle to get bolts in. Definitely a 2 person job. Took over 90 minutes to assemble. Definitely lacking in cushioning... and more of a teal green... not forest green.

Very good for the price. Reason for -1 star is that it did not bring instruction manual. I had to chat with amazon customer service and it wasn’t too helpful. Ended up looking for a youtube video for a similar one. At the end it came out fine. This is bot a daily use sofa, more like for a spare/guest room. The reclining mechanism works great. This futon has been a game-changer for my small apartment. The adjustable backrest is incredibly useful - I use it upright during the day when working from home, reclined in the evening for Netflix, and flat when guests stay over. The armrests are a thoughtful touch that most futons don't have. I was surprised by how sturdy it is - my brother (who's over 250lbs) slept on it for a week and mentioned it was more comfortable than he expected. Assembly took about 30 minutes with clear instructions. The deep seat is great for curling up with a book, and the modern design looks much more expensive than it is. Last month when my AC broke during a heatwave, I slept on it in the living room where it was cooler - definitely more comfortable than I anticipated for several nights in a row! ... show more
