The ice shaver is really great. We enjoy shaved ice and this is very easy to use. The containers must be filled and frozen prior to your initial use, so plan ahead. One cube makes so much! You can flavor the ice in various ways. Kool-aid powder, purchase sno cone flavor packs, which is what I did, puree fresh fruit. You can get really creative with your treat. They make enough for several servings. Easily stored in the refrigerator. The attachment connects easily and is cleaned up very quickly.

Finally used this the other night. This was a gift for my daughter as she likes shaved ice. The device seems a bit 'cheaper' feeling for the price. The ice cups seem a bit too small for the spring mechanism. They run nicely until the last quarter inch which then it stops, almost like the spring is a bit too short to stop shaving. Quality of the shaved ice is great. Kids were very pleased with it. We bought some flavors and cones elsewhere.

I got this for myself as something frivolous for my birthday. The kids absolutely love it! Makes great shaved ice. The kids want to try fruit juices next. It is easy to set up and use. It is also easy to clean. All in all, a great purchase at the price.

I bought this to tryout for fun making shave ice for my daughters. They love it so much that now I’m stuck making shave ice every day, which I actually enjoy. It works very well and cleans easily.

I was skeptical but it's great. The shaved ice looks more like cut glass pieces than snow, so a little different from other snow cone makers I've used. After washing it I dropped it on the floor and thankfully it didn't break. I made the mistake the first time using of not putting the the part the ice comes out of on the bottom as I had a little difficulty getting it into the kitchen aid, so it was on the side. It still worked, but now I know what else to pay attention to while getting it attached. The cap part with the metal prongs I have trouble getting it to lock into the ice shaver part. I do like attachments rather than buying a single use appliance.
