This is a N'ice' little machine. I bought it yesterday and it came today. After I let it settle for a couple hours per directions. It's been making ice every 6 to 8 minutes since. Won't fill a huge cooler very fast but will do just fine for our 12 pack fishing cooler.

The speed of this machine is impressive — it makes ice cubes every 6 to 8 minutes and fills the included basket in about an hour. I really like that the ice cubes are smaller, which makes them perfect for fitting into my water bottle. The machine automatically shuts off when the water runs low, which is a helpful feature. The only downside is that it doesn’t keep the ice cold once it’s made — so if the room is warm, the ice will start to melt in the basket.

This product is very easy to use and works very well. I replaced an in freezer unit with mine. The only downside is the need to dump the Ice cubes frequently. I fill up a container in my freezer as needed.

We are ice crunchers; all 3 of us in our household. My Mother-In-Law loves ice and so do I, so we were purchasing a ton of bagged ice from the local convenient store. This can really add up! We have a refrigerator ice maker/dispenser but our town has super, hard water and the ice just doesn't taste good, so we've been buying bagged ice for quite awhile. Saw this little ice maker for sell and for the price, we thought it would actually pay for itself after a couple of days so we ordered it. We've had it since this past summer and it has been running basically non-stop ever since. We do use a filter pitcher for the water we put in the machine. I don't know the consistency of the ice just using straight tap water but the ice from the filter pitcher comes out as a "soft" ice, which we all really like. It is a small machine and has a small basket. It has an indicator light that tells when the basket is full and ready to be emptied. It makes the ice pretty fast so doesn't take long to fill the basket up. The ice is soft enough that we simply empty it into our refrigerator ice maker bucket and dispense out of the ice dispenser. It has a setting for self cleaning that works great and a small plug that can be pulled out on the bottom of the machine to drain the water after the cleaning cycle is finished. I simple take a light, soapy rag and wash out the water tank and then rinse it out with clear water and it's ready to "fire" up again for more ice. It has paid for itself over and over again. May have to invest in a larger ice maker down the road but this was a perfect machine to test out first. It is portable so if you want to take it with you in an RV, Cabin, Camping, Tailgate Party, it would actually be a nice addition to these activities too!

Thought this was a self cleaning ice maker, so need to empty, scrub the inside monthly. Otherwise the ice is an okay size and fills fairly quickly.
