So I purchased these barstools mainly because my four year old is in a transition period. I want to move him out of his highchair to a more supportive chair that can also reach our bar counter for family dinners. Pros: These chairs were more supportive then our old ones due to the way the back support is designed with slight side support around the back. These stools also come installed with a very convenient hanger on the back of the seats for hand towels. Cons: However, these stools are finished with felt material, which provides some sliding for a child, or adult when sitting. These bar stools are not ideal for people around or over 200lbs due to the sides of the back supports. Unfortunately, these stools also lack Prime delivery options. This increases the cost by around 70 bucks. Recap: Considering my husbands comfortability, and the original purpose for these stools; I do like them. However, I have to leave these at four stars for the downside factors. But depending on your intention for these stools, they could be a great addition to your home! ... show more

Very easy to assemble. They seem fairly sturdy, but there were a couple issues out of the box. The screw-on end for a hydraulic lever was over-threaded and would not stay attached. There is no rubber protector on the bottom of the stool bases, which could easily damage or scratch floors as a result. The chairs are somewhat comfortable, however the curvature of the back rest of very narrow. A ~200lb 5'10" man barely fits in the chair. Anyone that is on the larger size may find it tough to sit comfortably in these seats. The hydraulic will not stay at maximum height with anyone over 150lb in the chair, and it will sink down 3-4 inches before stabilizing. ... show more

I love the color and style, however, they don't provide much comfort. I'm 5'2" and 180lbs, if any larger, I would find it difficult to seat myself. I give 5 stars because of the craftsmanship, and style. I'll just plan not to get any larger...lol

Exactly what I expected! Beautiful chairs! Easy to put together literally took 20 mins for both. So glam!! One more thing you must must must take off the black cap before placing the chair on top or the chair will not go up and down.

These are great looking barstools. They are easy to assemble and the parts and fabric are very well made. The chairs fully spin and the height adjusts with the control lever under the seat pretty smoothly. The fabric is a nice and smooth velvet cloth while the chair padding is very comfortable. Has a foot rest so your legs aren't just dangling if you're short like me. The button trim gives it a sleek, stylish look. The bottom of the base contains rubber pads that keep the stools from sliding and scratching my floors. I chose the black fabric in case of any spills or stains but seems like it would be an easy clean if it were a lighter color. I also chose the black base to compliment the barstool for a modern look.
