This appears to be a well-designed product, and I am very anxious to see how it performs in my backyard. There are some thoughtful design points with this: -A cable to hang the fixture from while you install it -A rubber grommet to feed the wires through and keep moisture out -Rubber plugs to go over the screw holes -A modern design with three bright elements The only real problem I have with this fixture was the installation instructions. I have installed HUNDREDS of electrical switches, fixtures, etc. and it took me a few tries to get this correctly. -Hardware contents tells what is included, but the instructions never mention which screws go where. -Instructions state, "Note: Hardware shown actual size," but it is very much NOT. (that's a nit, but...) -The illustrations seem like they would be helpful, but they somehow are not. -The instructions state that you need silicone caulk, but it is NEVER mentioned in the installation steps (I know it's for around the backplate, but if you're going to ASSUME that people know that, why mention it at all? If you're a fan of the Great British Baking Show, it is a bit like the technical challenge. You're given all of the pieces, but no specifics of what goes where. Overall, I still rate it as a very good light, and good value for the money. I just wish that someone who ACTUALLY INSTALLED this fixture had written the instructions. ... show more

The best light ever. Better than I expected. It has a slight night light that comes on at dusk. When sensor goes off by movement it is a very bright light. Stays on for about 1 minute. Low price for a good quality light!!!

I received my order, but after installed it, the motion detection has problem when Time setting is between auto and 12 minutes. I give a five star because I saw an earlier comment, that buyer also resolved his issue through seller's generous replacement service. I am confident after I receive my replacement, everything will work as a five star. I accept the fact, that you can receive faulty items from time to time, but if you can get it replace or refund, that is good enough for me. ... show more

Talk about an easy install, especially if your doing a one to one replacement of these lights to an old flood light assemble. The timer and motion sensor adjustment dials are easy to use but note they are on the base of the unit so if the unit is up high you will need a ladder to adjust them and if your somewhere like I am where the times it gets darker or lighter change throughout the year than you will find this can be annoying to need to change the timer settings, this is a good case where a dusk/dawn sensor would have made more sense. Also note, the light was originally installed on a circuit with a Lutron switch (dimmer/smart switch) and it did not work properly so I had to change out my switch. My hope was that with my smart switch I could just program in a scene for the light to be on/off at specific times from the app but that's not going to work. My next, and final comments are on brightness and range. This is a very bright light, and not the soft white kind of bright you may really want for security purposes. In other words, as it says, this is not a soft white light, i.e. 3000K which has a yellow tint too it VS 5000K which is almost like white with blue tint to it. So yes, the pictures here are accurate so be mindful as I don’t know if you can adjust the light type/brightness (white tint vs yellow tint). Light adjustability, while this is true the lights adjust I get a feel in time this will not hold its position unless perhaps fixed with say epoxy or something. I only speculate this as I find many lights like this general start loosening the hold at any one position if adjusted frequently but in this case only time will tell. Finally the motion sensor; here is where I think the light is really good as you can adjust the range of the sensor which is a nice option but you can't really adjust its mounting direction/position so you need to be mindful where you install this light for sure if the motion sensor is the main reason for the light. ... show more

I'm happy with the light output of this hykolity LED motion-activated light. When it's relatively dark out, the light rests at a warm, low-intensity illumination and the motion activated light is a crisp white light. The unit's motion sensing adjustments on the bottom of the sensor are annotated but also not all that legible from on a ladder below so know that, if facing the sensor, the time is on the left and distance/sensitivity is on the right. The time adjustment works fine but the distance adjustment seems to be about half the distance printed on my unit, at least in my testing from 0 to 30 ft away. It's an all-plastic housing and will be fine for my weather-protected inside-the-garage usage scenario but it doesn't give me the impression it's as durable as you'd want for a south-facing, weather-exposed installation spot. The installation is a bit confusing due to the number of screws and machine bolts provided but not much effort made to tell you where to use them in the installation instructions. I was replacing a previous light that used a similar center-mounting adapter plate, so that left me with extra screws in the packet. I learned that the plastic mounting base uses the single, largest machine screw but the main body of the light uses the two ~1 cm pointy screws (and not the blunt machine screws) to secure both halves of the plastic body. ... show more
