  • so far so good
Size: 200W for 25-50 Gallon Tank
I have had this heater for about 2 months now, and so far so good. It's set for 82 and kicks on as soon as it drops to 81.

  • Love this heater!
Size: 300W for 40-75 Gallon Tank
Super easy to program. The black plastic case gives an extra peace of mind. Whenever I moved rocks around my old heater, I was always concerned I might accidentally hit it and break the glass. Not with this heater, the plastic case relieves that concern ..

  • Works for my Rams
Size: 100W for 10-25 Gallon Tank
Pros: - Keeps consistent heat - Works great - Reliable Con: - Kind of hard to maneuver I bought this for my German Blue Ram breeding tanks. It keeps my temperatures at around 84 consistently. My Rams are breeding. I use it for a 10G tank. I haven't checked it to see how often it needs to run to keep the temperatures, but I will throw a killawatt on it and update the review. I haven't had any issues with it since I bought it a few months ago. I have had the bigger version of this for about a year and it still works really well. I would trust this over some of the other heaters I have bought in the past. The only issue I have with it is that it can be a bit cumbersome. The suction cups do not hold very long so you will need to find a place to sit it. The cables don't have much play in them, which is probably more of a pro than a con but makes it hard to maneuver. ... show more

  • Great heater but beware with small fish
Size: 100W for 10-25 Gallon Tank
This is a great heater for a small 10 gallon tank, with one caveat. As previous reviewers noted, the slits in the cover are designed to keep fish away from the heater, but what size fish are kept in a 10 gallon? Small nano fish like corydoras and tetras which can easily enter the heater casing and get caught in there. My workaround was to open the case and glue some window mesh over the slits to prevent future loses. Love the heater even with the design flaw. ... show more

  • Nice heater
Size: 100W for 10-25 Gallon Tank
The description says it for a small aquarium. But I wouldn’t describe it for a small one, There was only one place where the heater could be placed. I am not happy about that. It’s accurate to one degree. I have a beta in my tank so wanted to keep the temperature at 79 degrees but I need to set it to 80 degrees if I want the water to be 79 degrees. I would have preferred to give it 4 1/2 stars because one degree off I would consider it less than accurate for a beta. But as long as I checked it everyday with a meat thermometer that I know is very accurate and the two thermometers are always exactly one degree off I’m happy. So I gave it 5. I no longer have to check it unless I’m doing a water change. And I have to say that when I turn it off to do the change it heats the water up very quickly which I think is impressive. I definitely recommend this heater. Just check your measurements first so you know if it will fit where you want to put it. ... show more

  • Highly recommended! I LOVE this heater!
Size: 500W for 65-120 Gallon Tank
I have three aquatic turtles that have to be kept in separate ponds. It's almost impossible to find heaters that don't have parts that can be eaten (these goofballs will anything not nailed down). I've previously tried multiple types/brands of submersible heaters before coming across this one and those all broke (leaving dangerous glass shards in the tank to be eaten), got the rubber end pieces bitten off and swallowed or the heaters died after only a few months of use. The temperatures were also not inaccurate. Having to buy everything in threes, meant those other heaters were just a lot of money down the drain. The extra money spent on these heaters was well worth it for design and quality. 1. The temperature, even in my 110 gallon ponds, is spot on! 2. The design does not have loose or glass/rubber pieces that can be broken/eaten. Yes, I know most people use these heaters for fish. But for those of us with turtles, it is perfect! 4. The flat, sleek design is most excellent! For my turtle ponds, the stock tank material does not allow the suction cups to stick to the walls or floors of the ponds. But they lay nice and flat on the bottom of the tank and the turtles don't drag them out into the middle of the ponds and get tangled up in the cords. But I'm sure they would stick really well to glass aquariums. 5. They are still working and working well! ... show more
