Description

The side-mounted tensioning system is positioned for easy slack adjustments, and the inertia- activated chain brake reduces the likelihood of injury due to kickback. For easy handling, this gas chainsaw features LowVib technology to reduce vibration levels, lessening operator fatigue. This Husqvarna chainsaw is equipped with Air Injection, a centrifugal air cleaning system, that removes larger dust and debris particles before they reach the air filter. A powerful and efficient 2.4-HP X-Torq engine uses Husqvarna 2-stroke lubricant with a 50:1 oil tank volume (0.53 US pint or 0.25 L tank volume).

I purchased this saw in 2023, and it is JUNK. I had previously purchased a Stihl that was giving me trouble. This saw has been trouble from day one - every single time. It is has high compression and a short recoil rope so the pull start is difficult at best. It was always VERY hard to start - ALWAYS. Once I finally did get it going, it did cut fine. But, turn it off to refuel or swap a blade, and you're back to square one. JUNK! J-U-N-K! I bought this saw out of frustration with the Stihl, but they're both garbage. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I have had this saw in the shop 2 or 3 times and they really haven't been able to fix it; simply saying that chainsaws are fussy. I have always used Husky premix in it from day one. STAY AWAY! I've had this saw for more than a year, and the only thing I can depend on is that I can not depend on this saw. So much for Husky - damn thing is Chinese built anyway. I had been a Stihl user for decades, but the continuing decline in their quality over the years made me cast about for something that was easier to start, ran and cut well, and was high value. The new Husqvarna checked every box. I've heated entirely with wood in far northern Wisconsin where the snows are generally deep and temps are chilly. After a full year, I can safely say this saw is lightweight - easy to control throughout lengthy cutting sessions. It starts and restarts easier than any of my old Stihls and will sit and idle for a lengthy period with a hiccup. Cuts well through oaks, maple, and birch with no hesitation.
