  • Very powerful for a battery saw
Great saw

  • When you think you've done everything correctly, do it again.
What they don't tell you. Minor changes in the saw are not reflected in the instructions. The battery has two click stops, at least on my new saw that caused considerable difficulty getting my saw to function until I discovered that the first clicks secured the battery grasping catches the second clicks indicated the electrical connections had been made. The starting instructions also don't indicate that it will be impossible to lay saw on its side and securely slide the battery into place unless you raise the saw up to do so or as I found out to slide the saw off of the bench to allow the battery to protrude far enough to get a connection. My oh my, slide that battery home like loading a mag into a rifle. Was preparing to send it back, that is how frustrated I had become. ... show more

  • Battery power
Lots of power in a little battery operated saw. I've been less than impressed with battery operated equipment, but this one actually felt more like it's gas equivalent. Still not thrilled with the longevity or charge time, but it was pretty good for a battery operated tool. Weight of the machine made this very easy to maneuver too. ... show more

  • Exactly what I expect from Husqvarna - QUALTY
I have used a STIHL gas-powered chainsaw for many years, and had never even considered a battery powered chainsaw until I help a buddy cut up a downed tree a while back, and he had an EGO 56V battery powered chainsaw. I was impressed. So I tried a few no-name brands from here on Amazon, and they were pretty decent, but aside from the easy of the battery operation, they failed to impress me as much as my friend's EGO 56V. When I saw this Husqvarna saw, I figured a company that knows how to make quality gas implements would be the way to go. And I was right. The battery was about 50% charged when I opened it up, so I made sure to fully charge it before putting it to work. Added some bar oil, checked the chain tension, then inserted the battery. First note - this saw FEELS like a more quality saw than the cheaper no-name knockoffs I have tried out. It is substantial and solid. Weighs a bit less than my gas saw, but definitely feels like a quality product. I gave it a quick test rev, just to see what it felt like, and I was immediately impressed by the torque. I could tell that the motor in this saw revved faster and had more torque behind it than the cheaper battery saws I have used. It almost felt like my gas saw (but MUCH quieter). I put it to work on several limbs that I needed to cut, all still green, so a tougher chore than cutting dry wood. It performed admirably. I then went to work on a tree stump that I had uprooted recently that needed to be sized down a bit. This thing was gnarly and also still pretty green. The saw handled this pretty well also, although I think the narrower kerf on this saw might have slowed the cut a bit. I used the saw for quite a few cuts over a period of a couple hours, and never felt that it was losing power. When I was done, the battery still showed about 75% charged, so I think the battery life on this will be pretty good. Overall, I think this is a great saw for the average homeowner that doesn't use their saw every week and just wants something that is easy to manage and gets the job done. It would probably even be sufficient for a small property (5-20 acres) that just needs to take care of occasional downed limbs, etc. Could handle even more with a spare battery, if you wanted / needed to. Oh, and because I mentioned it earlier, if I was comparing this to my buddy's 56V EGO saw, I would say that they both cut about the same, but I think the battery life on this was better than the EGO, as my buddy went through multiple (at least 4) batteries in about 2-3 hours, where I think this saw would have done most or all of that job on one charge. ... show more

  • Husky quality with Husky price
Full disclosure, I did not fell the tree with this saw, only limbed and bucked it (approximately 20" pine). This Husqvarna 435i is the third battery powered chainsaw I own. I have been super impressed with all three. The Husky is by far the most expensive, which is most likely due to the 7.5 ah battery as opposed to the other two that came with a 2.5 ah battery. The cheapest of the three is what I would call an Ego clone for around $200. I also have an Ego for just shy of $300, and then there is the Husky, which approaches $600 (larger battery). There are design features I like about, each, and honestly they all pull about the same when put in the wood. All have toolless caps for the bar oil, and the Ego has toolless chain tensioning and bar tightening. This saw and the cheapest one both require a scrench to tighten bar nuts for chain adjustment. While this is probably a more robust system, It does require one to carry a tool with them. For a grab and go saw, I would rather have the toolless option. That way I can fill the saw with bar oil and a charged battery and just leave it in the truck. Not tools or gas cans to worry about. I also like the system on the Ego versus this Husky. With the Ego I just have to disengage the chain brake, and pull the safety and trigger simultaneously to start the saw. With this saw and the Enhulk, I have to actually power the saw on before I can run it. All three saws retain the battery roughly in the center of the saw to help with balance. If I had to give and edge to one saw for fit and finish, it would be the Husqvarna. I have two other Husqvarna gas saws and I think in their higher end product they make a great saw. This one is no different. If you are ok with the price tag of the larger battery, then I would go Husky all the way. If you are looking for a more budget friendly option, then one of the other saws at half the price offer a great value. ... show more

  • Clean air , but extremely low power compared to gasoline engine
I got is used with more than 100$ off I spent long time thinking of keeping it , or not The only reason why I decided to keep it was that does not pollute the air that I am breathing Otherwise, it works slow , and recharging it takes 20 min vs 1 mine refilling with gasoline….

  • Great for residential areas.
This Battery Chainsaw is a reliable and efficient tool for homeowners seeking a cordless solution for light to medium-duty tasks. It's quiet operation, ergonomic design, and compatibility with other Husqvarna 36V tools make it a valuable addition to any toolkit. With zero emissions and low noise make it ideal for residential areas, it also has an automatic shutdown after 180 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life. It weighs approximately 5.95lbs making it lightweight and easy to maneuver. This has been a great choice for us to use when trimming the bigger branches on our various fruit trees. ... show more
