Fantastic mower. Easy to set up. I have it mowing about 2 acres, on a schedule. I never even think about mowing now. I look out at my lawn and see the perfect rows, and know it mows through the night. Perfectly mown lawn every day! The blades are easy to replace, and they cut like a razor blade, because that's what they are. I can mow in the wet lawn knowing it will never get clogged. Excellent purchase! Now I can concentrate on other things instead of mowing! I did a cost analysis of a riding mower vs. this, and this was the winner.     • Husqvarna 420 IQ - Great little helper
I'm in the second week of using Tumbler (Dark Night reference). I'll update this going forward. The initial setup of connecting to the mower and reference station were straight forward. The quick guide directions are easy to follow. Mapping was a bit more tricky. Remember to go clockwise for the work areas and counter clockwise for the stay out zones. It's not that easy to drive, but you don't need to drive straight when dropping waypoints, just get to where you want... even if crooked, then drop the point where you want it. The line will straighten. The most frustrating... you have to map the work area about 12 inches past the boundary for it to cut against it. Also, everytime you edit an object, the mower starts back from the beginning of the mow. This is for ALL objects. May not be a big deal for smaller work areas, but for larger ones, you want to make an edit when you discover it's not mowing that area. My yard takes 2.5 days to mow. This needs to change to on demand (or close to it) editing. I'm impressed with how fast it charges, it's incredible accuracy for patterns and it's ability to navigate when it hits an obstacle or temporarily gets stuck. Call center customer service has been great. They spent all the time needed and answered all my questions. The email/text service is not great. After using both, the email/text service doesn't really make sense given the interaction required. A live call is the way to go. ... show more

    • Easy set up in a day no wire no antenna!
“This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry.” I recently purchased my 420iQ. No wire not even the need for the relay antenna. Very easy set up with the appdrive remote feature. The mower has been mowing a perfect lawn for a few weeks already!

This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry... that being said I’m very happy with my purchase. I’ve got acres to mow every week and this little guy just keeps up with it. It cuts my mowing time down 99%. There are still spots you’ll have to mow like around intricate parts of your yard but for the most part you’ll never go back to the old way. The app when I first got it left things to be desired but as of today, they’ve worked out most of the bugs. Setup isn’t bad, it’s thorough and time consuming but it has to be done. ... show more

Ok once it’s running. It took, no joke, in total about 30ish hours of our time to set up. Connecting, and staying connected, to Bluetooth and Cloud aren’t the same thing. Connecting was easy. Staying connected was the challenge. The stars had to align perfectly to get AppDrive to work so we could map out the work area. There has the be better technology than what is currently out there. Does excellent job, surprised it does cutting now by mower blade but by razor blades that require monthly replacement, thankfully those are very cheap. Loses satellite signal under trees, had to make exclusion zones there and manually mow part of yard still. Robomower does 90% of the yard though.

    • Generally positive after a year of use
Generally happy with the setup. Don’t expect a 5 minute setup given the satellite receiver needs to be mounted and power run appropriately and you may need to play about with positioning of the home dock too. Driving the mower around the lawn was straightforward enough. Very crisp straight lines after all is running though. Light maintenance so far too. I wish the software would auto adjust the mowing line to avoid repeat wear. Or set a mowing pattern during scheduling. Likewise scheduling could be improved. Why isn’t there an option for every other day starting on <week day>? Shame there is no edging attachment. ... show more
