    • Best cheap ebike on the market
At first, i was skeptical from the rating and some of the reviews. I didnt think that this bike would deliver as much as i do now… First, the bike is lightweight and smooth kind of like a normal bike except it has thin tires. I will only be using this bike going to and from work which is about a 2 mile ride so i wont have to worry about the amazing batter which charges in about 2 hours. Its great if you want to save money on gas or if you need uber rides to travel anywhere since it has great range on it.. not to mention the charger is light and compact as well, convenient for stopping anywhere with a normal wall port. Installation was fairly easy, i thought it would be a hassle as someone said it took a whopping 4 hours but its more or less about 30 minutes coming from someone who has no experience with putting bikes together. Be mindful as some parts could possibly be damaged but not enough to get in the way. Unfortunately in my case, the front brake in the v frame got in the way of the front tire replacement (which i removed easily) and the v frame was a little tight though it wasnt hard to fit the wheel right in. Most parts come already installed unlike how the manual shows so your expected time might even be cut in half! really handy. The seat fits snug and the handlebars were the easiest install. Make sure to tighten any screws or bolts you can find. Easiest install, Great lasting batter, and Smooth ride. Now for the wheels, you might be skeptical at first but they arent easy to pop or get pinch flats unless you are off-roading which the bike isnt used for or you happen to come across a specific sharp large rock, which even small pebbles and small rocks arent enough to pop your tires so dont worry. Be mindful of what kind of roads you are traversing if you are anyways. But i would definitely buy another if i needed to, very cheap but very useful and durable material. I would recommend to anyone commuting or simply wanting an E-Bike. ... show more

    • Stopped working after 3 months no support
I purchased this bike on August 6th and it worked well. I didnt use the motor much and I only charged it twice, in total I covered 57 miles per the controller then about a week ago the bike stopped coming on. I called the phone number and sent an email to support@joyride.com with all of my order details and screen shots on 11/8 still haven't received any correspondence from them and I called both numbers provided. The 855 number amazon provided is fro Hurley who will try to punt you to joyride the manufactorer and their number plays a voicemail that says they only respond to emails, which Im still waiting on them to answer. The bicycle rode well. I liked the fact that it is single speed, i used it at 1 assist a few times and it made a huge difference but I mainly rode it with the assist off so that I could hit the throttle whenever i needed the extra zip and it performed really well until it stopped working after 3 months of on and off use. I'm really disappointed and still need help getting it functional again ... show more

Out of the box it's pretty bad. The brakes were literally rusted. The paint on the front forks were already scratched and the remaining paint scratches if you look at it wrong. The wheels are the cheapest material there is and the front wheel has horrible bearings and binds if tightened to where you are not afraid it will fall off. The tires are horrible cheap squeaky rubber. Replacing the brakes, pedals, and tires make it rideable and make it look like a decent fixie. One of the brakes had been tightened so tight the bushing was peened over so had to dremel it off. Probably want to at least replace the front wheel at some point. Seat is actually not terrible and I personally like the brown on blue color scheme. Motor and battery are not great for distance but actually good for help here and there as you get tired. The battery mount contains the controller so would need to replace the controller if you want a better battery but the wiring is actually pretty decent. ... show more

This is an honest review, I have not been paid to do it. I just know when I buy something I always read the reviews. I love the bike. It was easy to put together, took me about 30 minutes. The tires are narrow which great for this bike because it does a great job coasting. The battery is removable, which is great to be able to charge after a long bike ride at your destination. The headlight is bright and adjustable, perfect for night time. I am 6 Foot Tall and 220 lbs. The truly does go 20 MPH. As for range, can't say but I would agree its probalby 10-20 miles. I usually use the assist mode to save on the battery plus it is fun to "coast." It is light weight easily able to pick it up. The seat does not have the springs as shown in listing but it is that same color, its average comfort level on the seat. The only down side is that it got wrecked in shipping and the spoke was damaged. I took it to my local bike shop and they fixed it. Not the bikes issue, just UPS's. Its only a single gear, but that is all you need, since you have an electric bike to help with uneven terrain. Price on this is great, treat yourself! ... show more

    • Pretty good cruiser, minus seat.
Update after a few months. This is a perfect cruiser bike. It isn't geared for high speed and don't expect to go more than 20mph. The single gear and smaller 250w motor is suitable for flat ground and sidewalks but not for pulling hills. This is for urban commuting and leisurely rides. I love this as a grocery getter and paired with an ibera rack and insulated bag I'm getting a lot of use out of it. For short bike runs it's great. Not for long range touring. I like the bike. At full throttle I get about 13 miles range. It's accommodating to a bigger guy (6 foot 2 inches, 230 pounds) but don't expect the seat pictured in the add. They show a suspension spring seat and send you a flat one. A 20 dollar bike seat swapped easily on it. Just that was the only thing I didn't much like. Amazon was who fulfilled mine and helped me out but just a warning. You don't get what you pay for in regards to the seat. You aren't riding a big suspension fork bike so you need the suspension seat or you can feel a but bashed around ... show more
