Having lights that are fully charged when there is a power outage due to any number of disaster is challenging. I placed this light near a window facing south and placed the solar panel in the window to charge the battery daily whether we have power or not. With the remote, I can turn it on at night during a power outage. I can also use it as a night light by leaving it on all night but at a low power and the next day will recharge it again. ... show more

This light was picked up because I live in an older home and in my basement where the washer dryer is there aren't many outlets available so I installed this almost in between the washer and dryer and ran the wiring and solar panel outside a basement window. I totally forgot it had different brightness levels till I accidentally made it go brighter but on the low setting it worked great for my needs and honestly though it mentions using in a shed honestly it could be used anywhere you need light and can put the solar panel outside. Though the light appears slightly smaller than it looks in the pictures but it does work for my needs though I do have few minor complaints that aren't deal killers. So it comes with 2 remotes yet they only provide batteries for one I had batteries on hand so no biggie but made no sense. I wish you were able to turn it on at the light or it had a switch also wish they had a bracket for the remotes to hang on the wall or something I used velcro but its something I had to think of as I didn't know where to keep the remote. The internal battery for my needs is great I charged it and used it for multiple loads of laundry before I could run wiring and secure solar panel I would assume probably few hours in total and it was below half but still had battery. I also wish it had aftermarket support where you could link the lights. Like I mentioned though it seems little smaller its pretty bright and works as it says so its something that I would recommend it and good potential I am going to buy more for other area's where I need light I really like it being solar as its a rechargeable light or a light besides the costs no additional costs besides 2 batteries for the second remote. If I get another I do hope they will go on together so I don't need multiple remotes ... show more

The only thing to assemble is the stand for a table. It came somewhat charged but I put it in the sun as the instructions state to charge it fully before using. It charged within two hours but a full charge would take about 4 hours. I am curious to know how long it will last on a charge because I kept it charging, the instructions say a single charge will last 10 to 12 hours. It puts out plenty of light. It is compact enough that I took it on a recent vacation because of the hurricanes coming up the coast. If the lights had gone out I would have light. You can take this anywhere you need light. It has a hook connected to the top to hang it if required. I am very happy with this LED light. Being LED it will eventually quit working but this light should last at least 5 years and most likely more if not used frequently. The solar panel is 6 W which is a decent size for this light. I like that it came with two remotes as two actually came in handy while on vacation. You can turn on the switch so it will stay on 24 hours or just when it gets dark. Excellent light. ... show more
