I purchased this chair for my home office to replace a ten year old chair. I spend 3 to 5 hours a day at my desk. I wanted a chair that was comfortable and would last a long time. This chair is very well built with high quality materials. It arrived on time and was very well packaged. Assembly instructions were OK if you had viewed the video on the product page. Tools for the assembly were provided. Assembly was relatively easy with two exceptions. 1. The ten Allen head bolts for the base legs each had a drop of Loctite on the threads making them very hard to get started. They are very soft and the wrench stripped out the head before they could be tightened completely. I had to use vise grips to back them out and purchased stainless steel bolts to replace them. 2. Getting the arm rests lined up with the seat and back cushions to install the bolts was extremely difficult. In summary it is a very well built/designed chair. I find the rocking/reclining feature to be very comfortable. Unfortunately, this also tends to make me fall asleep in the meddle of the day. ... show more

It looks good. I got brown. Chair is small for me. I just fit. I wanted some room. I’m 6 ft 200lbs. I bottom out while sitting on it. Should not bottom out. Overall bought wrong chair. Would send back if I still had box.

    • This Leather Executive Office Chair is Good, But Could Need Upgrades

This office chair needs assembly and that's not a problem, and probably for the best. I used the cylinder and wheels from my previous chair as this chair could then sit higher (I'm 6'2") and move around easier on my floor mat. Removing a cylinder can be a pain sometimes, and I learned how to do this from YouTube. The included wheels (2 sets, different types) are good, but I just had better wheels/casters on my previous chair. The only reason I had to get a new chair was because the bonded leather was disintegrating on my previous office chair, and I was tired of replacing such chairs every couple years. The leather quality seems fairly good with adequate thickness and it's also soft. I am hoping this will last at least 5 years. The rocking and recline features are nice to have. ... show more

The good: It's a heavy, sturdy, attractive chair. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. The tools provided are good. The bad: Quality control is very poor. Small rip in the leather, thankfully in an inconspicuous spot. The collection of screws, bolts and washers was random and confusing. That might explain why the instructions do not have a parts list. The maker can't be sure what you're going to get. I was able to get it together but I'm not sure it's 100% right. My prime concern is that two of the bolt holes on the chair bottom had spacers to separate the big mechanism plate from the chair bottom surface, but the other two holes did not have spacers. The instructions showed no spacers above any holes. I was tempted to remove the two spacers from the chair bottom but they were tacked on so I thought better of it. As I type this I'm in the most upright position in the chair, but it feels like it is tilted back a bit, causing me to slouch. Should I disassemble and remove those two spacers to get a more upright position? What a pain. There are a few scratches in the metal part of the arm rests. ... show more

    • The Price tag of almost $500 does to measure up to its comfort level

I rarely write reviews on the purchases I make unless I feel that a review is warranted. I have used the chair for almost 2 months and I have been having a hard time in distinguishing the difference between it and the one I picked up at Walmart for $89 which lasted for 5 years until its PU leather started flaking on the arms support . It feels very low when sitting on it and my legs get numb even though I am just 5"9 190 lbs. The height adjustment does not seem to go up to any comfort height zone. The height level goes so low occasionally to a point of feeling like you are almost sitting on the floor and have to use height adjustment to bring it up to its maximum height which is still way too low for comfort level. I used the instructions that were provided and assembling parts that were included and I am pretty sure I did not miss any step in its assembly. I still believe it has genuine leather which was an incentive in forking out almost $500 but if its comfort level is not satisfactory then I do not think it is worth that kind of money ... show more
