This worked really well for the algae at the bottom of my pool, didnt do much for the sides. The the brown pkg used alot of vacumming to get up, took a very long time and took out a ton of my water. In doing so, im not sure i would use it again because i had to add so much water back thereby adding chemicals back to ballance it. Good product, but lots of extra steps to get there. ... show more

I have been fighting algae in my pool for a month! It started small and just kept growing and growing. I will always use this no matter if it is a tiny amount of algae or a massive bloom like what I ended up with. Pictures are in order.. First pic is when I was adding in Step 1, I removed my filter cartridge from my pump and just used that to help circulate. Left step 1 in for an hour before I added step 2. Ran the pump for a bit, then turned it off (about 6pm is when I started) by morning everything was on the bottom! I vacuumed 24 hours later (becaese that is when I had free time). I kicked up some algae during vacuuming so I was worried I would have to repeat the process again, but I let the pump run (with no cartridge) overnight and the next morning everything I had kicked up was settled back down to the bottom so I could just vacuum one last time!!! My pool holds about 9K gallons, it was a little low when I started, but I only lost about 6 inches of water in the vacuum process (vacuum to waste!!). I also only used half the contents of the box. So for roughly $14 my pool looks beautiful again!! So simple!!! ... show more

I bought this as my last hope of getting my pool clean so I could close it. I struggled all summer with an algae problem, even though all of my chemicals were balanced. I shocked weekly and used algaecide and algaeguard. Nothing seemed to work. My sister in law told me about this so I had to try it. I already spent hundreds of dollars on chemicals from the pool store that didn’t work. It was so easy to use. The best part was that I only had to run my pool pump for two hours and then this product did the rest of the work. I would only suggest that you know how to use your variable speed pump do you don’t lose so much water. I vacuumed 2 times and had to stop in between due to water loss. My pool was green. Used this product and my pool was fixed within two days. Only issue I had is it created a residue dust on the floor of my pool that will not come up with a regular vacuum. Had to have a pool guy come vacuum up with heavy duty vacuum.

I had a difficult time with my pool this year. Tried many products. Even in the worst condition, this product cleared the pool overnight. I believe my wedding cake steps were a haven for algae so my pool turned green a few times. After using this product the first time, what I found effective is that if algae is laying on the pool floor, brush it to get it floating in the water before using this product. The first time I didn't and found green algae under the dead algae when I vacuumed the following day. Getting rid of the steps but if my algae issues come back, I'd absolutely use this product again. ... show more

Application was so easy, in the pictures is after I vacuumed, please don't think it just turns clear and clean. It took me two full vacuum sessions to get it clean. You absolutely must vacuum on waste setting of your filter. If you don't know how to do that, find it on YouTube. If you have a variable speed pump and can isolate just your skimmer with valves, I highly recommend doing it that way on half speed so you don't lose too much water while vacuuming. I lost about 9 inches of water level vacuuming on waste setting. This product makes all the nastiness in your water clump up and fall to the bottom, making it very easy to clean out. If I ever get this bad again, I will definitely order this product to get the job done well and quickly! ... show more
