  • So far so good
I’ve had this printer for 3 days and so far so good. First I was surprised with the lack of “instructions”. There was none. No step by step on how to set it up, or even how to open it to install the ink. I mean no big deal cause everything is online anyways to yeeey saving paper am I right?! But in the end it was SO EASY! Like super easy. I mean. Using the app on my phone didn’t work which I don’t mind. I know most printers are now advertised as being easy to set up and print on YOUR PHONE, but I don’t use my phone to print ANYTHING. At all. I always install anything and everything I need through my computer so that worked for me. I tried the phone at first because the advertising got to me of course and u thought it would be easier but nope. It was very easy on the computer. I took seconds. The printer picked up the network quickly, connected and boom! Done. It printed beautifully too. Easiest printer SO FAR! But I’m gonna be real with you. This is the 3rd HP printer I deal with in less than a month. My first one never worked well. It would work once and then stop for MONTHS, while I’m paying instant ink and have a printer that doesn’t work. After spending a few days again trying to make it work I bought another one. Also HP. It just didn’t print in color. After a full weekend of troubleshooting HP automated help thingie said it was defective and had to be serviced. BRAND NEW, (not tango) So I just returned to. I wanted to stay away from HP because GRRRRRRR! So I started my research. What is the deal with home printers? No matter the brand, reviews are mostly bad. And why do they all have to be so big???? Home printers!!!!!! Don’t they get it that not everyone has the space to have a massive desk so they can house those huge printers???? I know I don’t. So I was shopping for a small BUT WHITE printer. Had to be white because otherwise it won’t match the decor. 🤷🏽♀️ sue me! There are no small white printers out there. Other brands have smaller ones but they are all black. So I found the TANGO! I thought about it for a while. It had some very good reviews and some very bad. In the end of the day I will be honest with you! I picked the tango because of its size and appearance! This printer is aesthetically pleasing. Clean lines, perfect size. The box was light and small! I just kept my fingers crossed that it would work because honestly, I know I can’t find any other printer that would look so cute on my desk. The tango had to work! AND IT DID!!!! Beautifully!!!! I mean it’s been 3 days so let’s see for how long it will work. Fingers crossed. ... show more

  • Had issues with prints
I love this printer. I wish I could keep it! Honestly, if this works for you and you don't get a defective product, the ink is so cheap! However, I personally received a defective product. I tried printing on sticker paper and when they tried to blame it on that I said, "Well I have HP ultra white which is what you said this printer SHOULD be capable of printing on! It's YOUR brand!" Granted they couldn't argue when the issue was the same as what I experienced on the sticker paper. When we tried to print, the pictures would come out pixelated. I don't know how to explain it, but you can see the 'dots' of every color in that picture. Nothing was blending or smooth. It was so grainy! Even on the HP recommended paper. I did the cleaning, alignment, etc and even redid it with tech support on the line. The guy determined that the issue is the cartridge. They sent me defective ink apparently and perhaps the machine is also a defect. They arranged for ink to be delivered, but in all honesty I've been waiting for over a week or so now. I'm tired of waiting and this thing is just gonna go back. The printer itself looks like an apple product, the lighting is nice, and the sound pleasant. The printer is also very quiet. I do love it and wish I could keep it. But it's defective and I'm not about to follow through with warranty for a 'refurbished' product when I bought this brand new a few days ago. It makes no sense. Thus, it's going back. Maybe one day I'll try it again and my luck will be better. Maybe I'll get a non-defective product. But for now, it gave me a headache and I'm not patient with their 'support' while my refund window is ticking. ... show more

  • Great printer
I bought the Tango because I wanted a backup printer. I already own an Epson but ink is expensive and with Hp's instant ink program, I thought it would be worth it. I don't need a scanner or fax, the Epson takes care of that and prints great pictures too but it takes finagling. With the the Tango--non cover edition--I just drop the paper in the slot and let the printer do the rest. It takes 50 8 x 11 sheets. I put it through the test when I first got it. Pictures look good, just not sure they're archival, and it's not slow when printing them. I see reviews where they say the largest print is 5 x 7. That is not true, you can go 8 x 10 but it will take ink and if on the instant ink program it counts as a page. Speaking of that, 4 x 6 prints and 5 x 7 prints can be printed as many as you want from your smart phone, but from your PC/Mac they count as pages. It has no wires, just a plug for an outlet but many printers including my Epson are also so equipped. It is light and compact and can be moved anywhere and when not in use doesn't even look like a printer. Setup: Was a breeze on both smartphone and PC. Now an annoyance. Not the printer but the printer driver for PC. It dominates. I wanted to race my Epson against the Tango to see which prints faster. The driver for the Tango blocks the Epson--something about a shared IP--so there went that idea. Instant Ink, don't sign up for it while cartridges that came with the printer are in use, I discovered the page counter began and I hadn't even had any instant yet. Sign up when just about out or if that doesn't bother you, then ignore what I just said. Conclusion: The printer is a good little printer that doesn't take up any room. it's pretty fast and the pictures come out nice. It must be a popular little printer because stores can't keep them in stock. ... show more
