The machine was very well packed and to my surprise, it had a 1TB NVMe drive. I expected a 1TB 2.5" SSD. To be honest. Either would have been fine. The machine powered up, and I was able to install widows 11 without any problems. I installed CrystalDiskInfo and it told me that the drive had only 1 hour on it. Which was about how long it took for the installation of Windows 11. So, the drive was new. Not used. The machine was clean, and from what I have seen in other venues. The price of this machine is very good. Rufus told me that it came with a DVD/CD. However, it didn't. I contacted Amazon customer service and told them that I do have some technical experience, and that I could install a DVD/CD with no problem. So, they gave me a credit to help buy the DVD/CD. To that I say BRAVO. 5 stars all around. Others have complained that the WiFi and Bluetooth are dongles and not internal. That is true, but it never said it was internal. So, the dongle will work, but not as good as an internal WiFi adapter. This machine has an expansion port that you can add an internal WiFi adapter, and they are not that expensive. So not sure that would be a deal breaker. I know this is a refurbished machine. However, I have bought other refurbished HP machines and have had very good luck with them. One I have had for over 5 years and is still running. However, I can't put windows 11 on it. So, I guess it is Linux Mint XFCE for that machine. I hope this helps.

This is the second hp Prodesk 600 I have purchased. The first one worked fine but a lighting strike took it out. Because the first one worked so well I decided to purchase a second one just like the first. I went to my orders and found where I had purchased the first and took to option to buy it again. Did this thinking I would get another on just like the first. My main reason for doing this was the hope that the lighting strike had not hurt the hard drive. I make the swoop and to my great joy the system came up just perfectly which meant I would not have to reload all the programs and data which is very time consuming. But in swapping the hard drive I found that the optical drive had been left out of the new system. Being sum what of a computer teak, I transferred the optical drive out of the old system into the new system hoping that lighting strike hadn’t hurt that drive and when I brought it up, I was pleased to find that the optical drive worked just fine also. Other than simple hardware settings I am back in full operation. The system is a real fine computer, very fast and stable. My problem was with the fact the optical drive was missing. If I had not been able to swoop the drive I would not been able to load the programs I needed to get the system going and that’s figuring that the hard drive would not have been swappable because it was damaged. All this said everything worked out just fine. The end to this review is that the RENEWED computer lacked some important QUALITY COMTROL. Other than that its a great machine. Others may not have been able to do the things I did and would have had to be involved in returns and reshipping to get back in operation. The 4 star rating is not for the quality of the system but for the QC.

The computer packaging was very secure. Setup went smoothly, WiFi is by a USB 2.0, single band 2.4GHz dongle inserted into a port in the rear of the computer. Win Pro 11 installed is an older version that had to be updated to the current version 24H2. The cabinet of the computer shows some wear, expected from a refurb, with generally fine appearance. The display ports need an adapter to HDMI for monitors. I had purchased two adapters prior to the delivery of the computer for $5 and they work well. From delivery to being ready to use, with lots of updating using WiFi dongle, and doing a full virus scan took a total five hours. With an Ethernet cable the process would had been much shorter. Bluetooth speakers were paired with the computer and work good. Everything works well that I had tried. The computer is well built and is a heavy weight, high performance computer. The speed at which it works is astonishing compared to the computer being replaced. Thus far, my impression is, this computer is exceptional! A very good buy!! TekRefurbs customer service is top notch also.

First off I work in IT and know a lot about managing pc’s. This machine does not have a wireless adapter / NIC installed. I had to run out a purchase a 50 ft Ethernet cable to get online. The machine worked nicely for about 5 days, and then experienced two Windows updates for WIN11, causing the system to crash and become unusable. I tried restoring the pc, but it continued to fail restore process. I created a WIN11 bootable ISO/USB device via Microsoft website. I finally reinstalled WIN11, which took this machine almost a full day to install. I am working on updates now. If it fails again, I will seek a return/refund. Update. I ended up having to reinstall Windows 10, install all relative updates, as well as a BIOS update. Following all Win10 updates, I went to Microsoft website and installed Windows 11. So far all updates for Win11 have installed correctly and the system seems stable. Update as of today, the internal 1TB hard drive is bad.
