UPDATED 03/20/2026 BEWARE! These HP Laptops have no HP warranty! HP informed me today "that this unit was purchased through Amazon and sold by ROKC Electonics. At this time, ROKC Electonics is not an authorized reseller of HP." And... that the HP warranty is invalid for units sold by unauthorized reseller's and Amazon, if they sell on Amazon! HP informed me that they will not honor the warranty!!! Both ROKC Electronics and Amazon are aware of this - and are failing to inform the consumer of that fact. Which constitutes Consumer Mail Fraud under the US Commercial Code! Find an attorney who will take this case as a class action or mass action to sue both the reseller and Amazon for this violation of the US Commercial Code!!! UPDATED: 03/18/2026 DO NOT BUY AN HP PAVILION LAPTOP! I RECEIVED THIS LAPTOP ON DECEMBER 4, 2025 - 3 MONTHS AGO. AND - HP WILL NOT HONOR THEIR 1 YEAR WARRANTY! THE KEY LETTERS ARE WEARING OFF AFTER ONLY 3 MONTHS AND 8-10 USES OF THIS HP PAVILION LAPTOP PC. SEVERAL OF THE KEY LETTERS ARE NO LONGER LEGIBLE. I bought this 2025 Pavilion to replace the 3 Pavilions I bought 5 years ago, because all three began to experience HP's "planned obsolescence" (failing keyboards or screens). But, I suppose all mfrs build them to replaced in 5+ years today! I like most aspects of this Pavilion, except for the screen which is inferior to the screen on my previous Pavilions above - not as clear and sharp. And... of course... it has no backlighting of the keyboard - terrible in dim light! And... of course... it comes configured to force you to use Microsoft One Drive as your primary storage - even though the PC has 1 TB of storage internally! What that means is that One Drive takes over your computer and forces you to store all your files in "the cloud" on One Drive from startup! Which is cumbersome and slow and very difficult and confusing to manage!!! Then it "forces" (default) synching all your files on this PC and on all your PC's and phones, tablets - so that they're all stored on One Drive. This, of course means you quickly become totally dependent on One Drive, but also use increasing amounts of space on One Drive, so they can bill you more for storing your files!!! And... they don't make is easy to figure out how to stop all of that to prevent it! This may be a feature of the most recent Microsoft Windows 11 OS... but... HP allows it... and should not!!! So... I'd be careful before you blindly purchase an HP Laptop - because most likely they all do this now! And... you may want to make sure whatever alternative you might buy, doesn't "force" you to use "Cloud Storage" and Synching all you files on all your devices! Though, I suppose they all do. But... some may allow you to default to local storage on the SSD in the Laptop when you first setup your new Laptop!!! If so, and they were reliable alternatives (e.g. Dell, etc.) - I'd opt for that alternative! In most other respects, the new Pavilion seems great - but - HP needs to correct these features! I have no idea how reliable the new Pavilions are - I may see - if I keep it! I'm trying to decide that now!!! Now - that I've spent the past 3 days (literally) stopping it from storing / synching all my files in the cloud on One Drive, and cleaning up the mess that created on my Pavilion!!! I'd have given it a much better review - if - I hadn't had this terrible experience - which has cost me so much time in setting it up!!! ... show more

I would give it a zero. The laptop still has 7 months of warrantee, but after spending days with the HP support I've been told it has been modified so they can't fix it. The one 128 gig external drive included with this didn't work. They refuse to replace it. It's also out of warranty because they upgraded the hard drive and HP told me due to that that is no longer under warranty
