The ink cartridges sent with the unit were very old. The retention clips had to be expanded in order to seat properly in the ink carriage. Installation of the software was a nightmare. Some of the software was installed by computer some was installed wirelessly by the printer, but it was going back and forth between printer and computer several time that was annoying. It took more than 45 minutes to complete the process. Hp should have preinstalled most of the printer software. It prints OK. I hate the requirement that you have to set up a HP account to get ink supplies. I ordered extra ink cartridges when I bought the printer, the printer is not used frequently so expect not to need ink supplies for some time. So I cancelled my HP account. Next I received ink cartridges that were order by the machine, after I cancelled the account. I called HP and offered to pay for the ink supplies but they said they could not accept payment over the phone. NOW I see a message on the display panel saying A PROBLEM HAS OCCURED WITH YOUR HP ACCOUNT AND YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO PRINT UNTIL THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED. Grrrrrrrr. There is no help from HP. Save your money and buy a different brand. Non-existent product support. Too much control of the printer is done by HP programing. Frustrating. Customer service said to use non hp instant ink cartridges, bought non oem cartridges printer won't print either. False advertising. Failure to disclose short comings of internet printer. I got the HP Officejet Pro 8020 up and running with the assistance of my 15 y/o granddaughter. So far, so good. I haven't run into any major issues, although the yellow ink cartridge a minor defect that had t be adjusted in order for it to fit correctly in the slot. Also, one document that printed, in some spots the ink was sketchy or didn't print in some places. Otherwise, for the short length of time that I've had it and used it, I'm pleased with the printer and would recommend it. ... show more

The only reason I'm giving this three stars is because I know how good this printer is. However buying a renewed one from Amazon proved to be a mistake. I wrote a review on another renewed printer that I bought at the same time as this one because I was trying to play it smart by saving some money. My Old faithful officejet 8025 printer decided to finally kick the bucket or at least the print head decided to kick the bucket. I knew that I was overdue for new ink and had been putting off buying any colored because I normally don't print colored that often. But when I needed to print something in color it did not print so I figured it was because the cartridges were empty. Well after buying new cartridges for about $80 and installing them I realized that it was the printhead that was now clogged in no longer printing. Even though the 80-25 was a very good printer and was very fast and crisp it was not all that good on colored documents so I figured there was not much sense in finding the same model especially since I had started printing and selling stickers and this model was just not going to do the trick. That being said again I had just spent $80 on new cartridges and there are a very slim set of printers that use the same ink all of which are officejet and older models. I had been looking at maybe an envy printer so that it would do a little better quality with color documents but obviously that would put me out $80 from the ink I just bought. I really wanted one of the smart tank models but they were just so expensive I could not justify spending the money. I then ended up finding this one which was renewed and would use the $80 worth of ink that I just bought and then also found a renewed envy for about the same price. I ended up buying both of them which to me was kind of like two for the price of one. I had never tried anything renewed from Amazon before so was not sure what exactly to expect but Amazon has always been good if I needed to return something so I wasn't too worried about it. I got both of them on the same day and the envy did not work properly right out of the box. This one seemed to work fine but that only lasted 24 hours and then it decided it no longer wanted to power on. Again this model is almost identical to the model that I had to throw out so I know how good of a printer this is so please keep that in mind as you read this review. If you are looking for a quick office printer that will kick out text documents like there's no tomorrow this would be your best friend. And again I had never tried anything renewed from Amazon before but after receiving two printers that I had to return within a 48-hour period has left a bad taste in my mouth as far as renewed products. I can't be but so mad because I was trying to save money and was aware of that being renewed I could not expect everything to be 100%, but I was still very disappointed. Anyways in the end I decided to go ahead and spend the extra money on my ink tank printer from HP and might I just say I am completely obsessed with that printer! I know this is not a review for that printer but I still cannot get over the print quality that you can get out of that printer and how little ink it uses. ... show more

This is a complete printer for the home. I had no problem connecting to my computer using Bluetooth. IT's not the fasted printer I've had but for home use it's fast enough. I like he ease of changing printer cartridges. I haven't used the printer long enough to commit how many pages you can get out of the cartridges. ... show more
